  1. "Why just buses taxis and bicycles? why not let cars use the mound, saving thousands of gallons of fuel currently wasted thanks to this unnecessary and seemingly never-ending artificial congestion. Would it really hurt to get rid of all bus lanes and restrictions and let the traffic flow properly? The only thing that would suffer would be the reputation of the planning "professionals" as it immediately becomes obvious that they've been wasting their time and our money for decades......"

  2. "because private car drivers are only expected to pay for all this folly, not have any say in it. Welcome to the lunatic-run asylum that is Edinburgh. Roads are the arteries that move the life blood of commerce around this city, but the Council's main priority seems to be clogging them up, in order to pander to the interests of minorities that only consume resources and never contribute anything other than self-interested whining."

  3. "Cars will also be excluded from Haymarket,Shandwick place once the tram is here. CEC have a cunning plan to make the City centre totally car free.

Or should I say, Cllr Mackenzie & SPOKES have a cunning plan."

This person really does have a major Spokes hang up...

    Very quiet today.

Didn't stop some 'ordinary' cars (supposed to be buses, bikes, taxis).

Surprised to find Hanover Street still blocked northbound -

At least it's now possible to cycle as the blockage isn't total any more.

Even better, the lights are not in use, so you can't run a red whatever you do ;-)
