Wanted - Panniers to borrow for 3 days 7 - 9 March

    Hi cycle buddies,

    A freind has planned a late notice Arran trip for Wed 7th to Friday 9th March. We leave the car on the mainland and get the ferry to Arran camping in Lamlash, doing half a circuit Weds and a full island circuit Friday. I have a touring bike and rack but no panniers. Does anyone have a pair I may borrow please?

    I'll not let them out of my sight and promis to replace them if any damage occurs, which I don't expect (but wanted to make clear from the start).

    I have everything else, tent sleeping bags etc.. just I'd rather pop kit in a bike mounted bag rather than a winter 70ltr rucksac on my back.

    Heres hoping. I'll need to collect Sun - Tuesday as we're off first think Weds morn.

    How about a pair of Ortleib back roller classics and a medium rack pack? I've got a back pack adapter that fits these as well in case you decide to take a turn on foot.

    If you'd mentioned it earlier...

    Dave, you're welcome to borrow mine. EBC set so not as fancy as Roibeard's but they've done we well. Also a bar bag and a rack pack if you like. You've got my number.

    Hi Robert, Thats very kind and I did know about the cycling but hadn't thught through the logistics until this evening. Thats a very kind offer, but as Steve is closer I'll take his offer.

    Very many thanks, Steve if you're free tomorrow I can pop over to collect, just let me know when you'll be in and I'll get across to suit you. I'm riding with the wheelers tomorrow so I'll be out from 9am - 1pm, but I might be able to swing by on my way back depending on where we go. Does some time early afternoon suit?

    Just come along when you're done cycling. We've got a Tae Kwon Do thing of Ewan's in the morning but should be back long before 1pm.
