    really recommend this stretch of the WHW. Gorgeous.

    Especially on a day like this;

    I walked from Milgavie to Fort William once. Waste of time, by the time I arrived FortWillaim was shut.

    Seriously I enjoyed my walk up there and have gome back since and ridden from Tyndrum to Kings House and back on the MTB. Its lovely in the summer.

    On the Dimond Jubilie holiday we plan to ride from Calander to Killin and back along the Gleb Ogle line, also on MTBs. Might take my Cotic though ;-)

    As Muriel Gray once said, you wouldn't want to drop your lunch-time orange at the top.

    On the subject of Beinn Dorain, I have walked to the top from the Saddle (I won't attemp to spell Beallach - dhoop!!) when walking up from Bridge of Orchy, but I'd love to walk up the slope from the WHW line with crampons on the iced slope.

    I've climbed both Beinn Dorain and its neighbour Beinn an Dothaig (sp?) in thick mist and deep snow - interior of a ping-pong ball conditions. Hard to tell when you are on either top because of false summit cairns. The low roaring sound as the wind from across Rannoch Moor hit the cliffs of the Beinn an Dothaig was rather spooky.
