Will it have gates and bollards and chicanes across it? (bearing in mind some canoeists like that sorta thing)

Sounds good, some of the dam-release white water round there is great for a quick blast. Like the cycle route along the GG though it might be hard to find a suitable vehicle that can cope with flat/steep/carry mixtures.
