CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 15years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

Help protect your bike from theft: Drop by St Andrew Sq Garden #Edinburgh to get your bike marked by @CycleRepublicUK & registered for free on the UK’s national, Police approved database. @bikeregister @EdinPolSE
Times: 25th April & 9th May 7am – 2pm
There'll be bike stickering and registering this Fri and Sat morning at the Commie: https://www.edinburghleisure.co.uk/news/bikesecurityevent
As an aside, since Spokes are there, can I assume they'll have maps for sale? I need a map or two.
If I recall correctly, the BTP office in Waverley Station (under the north ramp on Platform 19) can mark and register your bike without appointment. I'd phone ahead to make sure someone is in, though.
Spoke to a police officer in Roseburn today and asked about bike marking.
She said that they want to do them again but are trying to work out a way around GDPR restrictions as they think their current approach (of you telling them your personal details) falls foul of them.
