  1. Looking to change the saddle on the Kaff from the Charge Spoon that develops and insane creak every month or so till doused in WD40 or whatever comes to hand. Used to have a Brooks B17 on there, till it became strangely uncomfortable after many trouble free years.

Looking to give it another go - ChainReaction have the B17 at £64.99 and a £10 off voucher can be applied just now, so down to £54.99. The Spa Cycles slightly look-a-likey (but not quite as nice) is £40, but there's also £4 P&P.

Do I save the £10.99 on the cheaper saddle or go for the Brooks (thinking of which, might be worth checking out TBC's prices and availability).

I've been having similar thoughts, though I'm not really sure it would go with any of my bikes.

I was looking at the Nid at £35 plus p+p. I also have a £25 gift voucher for EBC which if they have another 10% off everything gives me another option.

Anth, if you don't get on with it, the Brooks would hold more resale value I think which could see your £10.99 recovered...

  4. Yeah, I gave in to the might of Brooks. I am weak.

Three out of four now fitted with Brooks, either I am weak or I like a comfybum... :-o

  6. I did bump up the purchase with some of the same cheap CX tyres I have on the Cotic which are going to go onto the Kaff as well - it's becoming an urban pothole-swallowing weather-beating armchair-riding machine!
