YOU'VE BEEN WARNED
Contains un-CCE language + attitude...
CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 15years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.
Are we being led astray?
Love it!!
I came here to post this :(
Brilliant stuff.
Can't view this, but I've got an idea of what it is (did the Facebook rounds a wee while back if it's the same one...).
"Brilliant"? Maybe for confirming the prejudices of petrolheads. MC SpandX does it so much better...
They're not 'sharing the love'...
Are these rap riders not really just the same as anti-social car drivers? Or is that the point? If we had more dudes like them would we get respect?
77,000 people like it. I prefer the bike messengers EMC 2012 video.
Or Danny MacAskill
.
Way home video
I rather like this one myself. Heart stopping moments, hats off to them, unbelievable riding.

@Claggy Cog That video is the reason I spent a year banging around Edinburgh on a fixey acting like an utter w****r. Not red light stopping, wrong side of the road, pushing a big gear (78 odd inchs) which was good for ~35 Mph at full pelt and could only just get me over Arthurs seat, one brake and no regard for safety.
Was great fun at the time but I shudder thinking about it now!
One big crash (ironically due to poor road surface than bad riding) and an exploded hip put paid to my days of riding fixed.
Behind the times chdot:
Impossible!
You did link it though on the RLJ thread with (NSFW).
That must mean 'not suitable for weans'?
Reminds me of the 'NFWL' that members of the NHS used to put on case notes in the bad old days. (Normal For West Lothian)
@Claggy Clog, many of us *could* ride like that round Edinburgh, but as that is how the EEN commntators believe we ride (in their addled imaginings) I refuse to give them the satisfaction ;-)
It amused me :) Those are pretty epic mutton chops.
In my dreams could I ride like the NYC couriers. I was not advocating riding like that, I am somewhat in awe of their fantastic lightning speed reactions... who cares really what the EEN trolls think. In any case you could not ride like that in Embra with the state of the roads with bike swallowing craters, potholes, waves of tarmac, it doesn't feel safe pootling let alone cycling at those adrenalin inducing speeds!!
@ARobComp - I am assuming you're older and wiser, and probably have commitments, and were possibly young and foolish back then and thought you would live forever!!
@Zenfrost and great handlebar moustache. It amused me too!
@crowriver I see your point. I now feel a bit like I did when I turned up at work saying I'd seen a great film called Forrest Gump only to be reminded that it was about a man with a learning disability, portrayed by a man without a learning disability in a way which was trite and condescending. And yes this was in a day centre where I working with adults with learning disabilities.
I'll just leave this here then....
