Apparently we have one, might as well use him:
The Herald seems to have got a little behind on this one, I found references back in January but not a contact email for the guy.
CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 15years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

Thanks, I still wonder about Twitter.
My band of followers will know that I replaced the iMac HD yesterday, old 750 GB was quite full, but I'm not sure that it's very useful information. Aperture is running more smoothly now but anyone who wanted to ask me about Aperture could just do that.

New job. Really looking forward to it. Getting fit- the single best thing you can do for your health

I get the impression that he doesn't 'get! cycling in an exercise/fitness/public health sense.
Various health professionals take the line that getting 'ordinary people' to walk (more) is (should be) easier because most people do it.
Hence paid jobs organising walking groups.
Seems the fitness czar just got on a plane to the north pole. That's going to be good for the polar bears.
Hmm. Not sure that appointing an extreme desert/ice marathon running 'charidee' runner as Fitness supremo is the most effective way to get ordinary, car driving/bus passenger, couch potato folk to be more active.
A bit like getting the late Colin McRae to be Transport Czar.
