Is anyone going? Its this weekdend apparently. I read you're views from last year. Looking for a day out with the family and if its pants we could pop to the transport museum or the science centre I suppose.
So anyone on here going?
CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 15years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

Went last year, big shop, some BMX stuff going on too.
Maybe of interest if you're in the 'trade' for contacts etc, otherwise just a big shop.

I might visit for the morning, and then potter up to Milngavie to see if I can find any remains of Bennie's structure.
We pulled out a few weeks ago - bit of a pain for the organisers so we had a bit of apologising to do.
Should be ok we think but not sure overall what the benefit the show has to actual cycling as a pastime.
We were going to keep our display pretty simple and have no retail but then again it is so expensive in money and time to go i can see why companies retail to try to cover it all.
We'll be going to a pretentious circus in Glasgow on Sunday anyway so we might be able to pop in for a bit. I quite enjoyed it last year. And unless they are bumping the price up on the day, it looks a little cheaper than last year (I though £10 was too much).
similar sort of event advertised recently for detroit (a beer group I belong to on Fb linked to it, they do beer & bike tours :)

has a more grassroots feel to it?
Booo! No SMEG fridge of fizzy drinks!
SCiaf's based there. Lovely, lovely folks. Not at all pretentious :)
Actually, would this not be an ideal place to get the #POP28 message out, have those involved organised a stand/place to sign petition etc?
We'll be leafleting outside. :)
(as well as seeing if some standholders will put up a poster).
Having rummaged about the SECC website a bit, it IS £10 on the day.
If you are doing the Sportive on the Sunday entry is free.

We went. I enjoyed it but sadly the stunt cyclists were all at the back so you could only get round one side to watch. This meant a crowd several deep that it was difficult to see through. Still good fun though and I got a new rack pack (always wanted one) and some bike floss for my gritty bits. Some nice bikeflesh on offer including side-by-side recumbent trikes which looked cool. I also met Magnatom of youtube video fame at the POP stand.
