  1. I think tomorrow lunchtime I'll head to George Street to get the bikes chained up there.

Did my work bike park at lunchtime today. 84 bikes done (there were 85 bikes, but seemed churlish to flyer my own bike). I knew there were a lot, of bikes, but that really is a lot. I think there are about 3,000 people here, so I guess the percentage would be a little above the national average.

Partial success at South Morningside. It started strongly with the Primary 1 and 2 parents - very positive response from the parents who didn't know me. The ones that did were great too, of course, but that doesn't say as much from a canvassing point of view.

Also went to the local shop and put the POP and AndrewCyclist concert flyers on the noticeboard.

It dipped a little in effectiveness since I ran out of parents to talk to so, went down to the ASC to see about leaving some there, which I did. However, they were shortstaffed enough to make the bedlam point as the P3-7 group arrive a bit stressful, so I mucked in there and therefore missed that group of parents outside.

Tomorrow there's more staff in(even if today's sick aren't back), so I'll try again and hopefully not be needed.

Kaputnik, the kids think your panda on Brompton T-shirt design is awesome.

Turns out one of my parents is a mechanic at the Bike Works. Her work schedule and my free time schedule are normally polar opposites, so I had no idea. Assured me the flyers are leaving the shop at a nice rate.

Handed in a couple of posters at the QMU Union and put handlebar fliers on about two dozen bikes. Can't think of anywhere else in the M-burgh where bikes are left in large numbers. Certainly not at the station.

If anyone wants some spare handlebar flyers, I've got a wee pile that I'm not sure I'll manage to get out before the ride due to essay commitments. PM me and we can arrange to meet up somewhere preferably in the middle of town to pass them over.

The poster at start of WoL path in Balerno was swiped some time today. Design classic, must have item I expect.

If I had a laminator, or even access to one at work, I'd do some cyclepath flyers. I was considering maybe just getting some chalk and going out very early one morning and chalking #POP28 on some paths.

NMW could use some laminated ones - especially at the toucan crossing.

I was thinking of chalk too.

I have some giant chalk I could bring to PY tomorrow. If I can find it. I think I know where it is but that's not the same. I've some polythene pockets which I'll stick some posters up along Porty prom tomorrow evening.

That is a cracking idea. I could do the Innocent Tunnel. My chalk isn't giant but it'd do the job.

Gembo has generously offered me use of a lamninator on Wednesday evening. I'll do my flyering and chalking on Wednesday early.

I'll probably cover Roseburn park, routes out to Gyle via Corstorphine and Broomhouse, Russell Road, the Telfer Subway, around Leamington Lift Obstruction and that general quadrant of the town

I've just put up ~15-20 on my commute route, until blue-tac ran out [slateford green to end of canal]. Bit pointless probably with the rain (as I've not got around to laminating them). Hope they at least last a day or two! I also put some strips on bikes (tried to hide them under saddles from the rain). Also given a load to minimoth to put around Leith (she reports having seen them on her commute cycle paths, so will try to find places not yet covered).

The one I put at my building's front door yesterday has already been taken down :/ (annoyingly some random person's raising money for charity is still there... favouritism! Will reposter later... - have to be sneaky though!).

  15. I got a tweet last noght from someone at work (that I don't know) who had got one of the flyers on her bike :)

She'd obviously done a #POP28 search and then seen my pic of the bike racks. Better still she's coming to the ride (had been already, it wasn't my flyering that did it, but nice to get some nice feedback!).

Postcards left on the non-dusty saddles at work. Just a handful, but every little helps, I understand...

Most of Waverley bar/tube-flyered. A few exclusions for the obviously-really-dusty or tagged-for-removal or doubly-soft-tyred meant I almost had enough.

All the bikes inside and outside of my office. Dissapointingly low number of 30 for a building with 3,000+ occupants. Hope for no rain showers until 5 so that those on the outside don't turn to pulp (there's no roof over the racks, don't know why people use them over the ones inside)

Will try and think of some places to do on way home but probably too late in the day.

Can someone point me to a downloadable version of the leaflet? I missed PY this morning, but should be able to do Towerbank tomorrow morning if I can get some printed out.

Handlebar flyers in the bike sheds and stands in one part of Dundee Uni this lunchtime. Around 40 bikes or so flyered. No rain yet this aft so good chance folk will be able to read them...

Lots more bikes dotted around campus but doubt I'll get time to do them all.

I'm out of handlebar flyers after doing the lovely bike racks at the Lauriston Building. I didn't notice the poster in the window until I was finished, hurk. One of us?

Topped up the leaflet supply in MacDonald Cycles. They'd run out, Steveo, hence your not-seeing of them.

Good point Crowriver - I thought of that a few days ago and then totally forgot. Anyone available?

I can bag it tomorrow, but unless my sister's printer is both working and double-sided, I'll have to resort to a stapler and the A6 flyers Kap's giving me.

I reckon all your average student needs is the Twitter and web addy, mind.
