Does anyone else feel like treating the POP team and the LBP cyclocops to a slap-up dinner? I do.

That would be a fabulous idea. I'm up for helping out if it is a home-cooked thing :)
    I love cooking :P

Thing is, you guys _are_ the POP team, Edinburgh division. Up for a potluck though if we can find a venue.

There's also a plan for me to make pancakes for a bike breakfast in june, but now I'm a bit worried about how many people might turn up...

Bike breakfast in June need pancakes for 300 - 500 dependent on weather if you mean the one at city chambers?

I'd be happy to contribute to this mark of appreciation!

Yes, we all did it, however a few generated the idea, and inspired the rest of us to get off our collective rumps, and for that they should thanked - a POP rider feed is marvellously symmetrical...

Definitely up for something this - I make mean falafel.

We have quite a busy weekend calendar, but don't let that get in the way of choosing a good date.

    SRD/Gembo - so that'll be pancakes for 2000, perhaps? ;-)

    @SRD Feed a few normal-sized pancakes through a cross-cut shredder: instant multipancakes.

It looks like home-made is getting more support than restaurant? I'd volunteer my flat, but it's a bit wee for the numbers I'd hope to have. Kitchen table only sits six.

Perhaps a Harrison Park based thing? I can liase with Steve, better known here as Mr. Z, and see if between his kitchen and mine we could provide facilities for the Dave/Zenfrozt chefs to supplement a barbeque? Mine will be free, but we'd need to cover Z's costs.

I have a back garden that could be used as a barbeque venue if nowhere more suitable was found - no barbeque though. Reckon it could take about 30?? (although since I thought there were about 1000 people there yesterday, maybe my estimates are questionable ;) ).

I'd love to contribute in any way.

I'm not sure that Lothian & Borders finest would accept any reward, and I'm sure participation was reward enough but they may have a favorite charity, which they would only be too hapy to see a donation for.

I can provide a barbecue. And sausages for 30. And if that's not enough of a risk of food poisoning, I have about 150 bottles of home brew cider I could bring along.

DaveC: my twin sister's a cop, and her fella is a cop. Trust me, they'll turn up for a free food'n'watering. I am entirely enthusiastic about the idea of buying some noms and bevvies for our escort.

Experience of cops at work is that if the kettle's on, they'll be there!

Regarding the "Bike your own Breakfast", I've already got the poster designed :)

Book the church hall at Polwarth - get a few dozen in easy. I can bring enough home made pizza to bring down a horse

The church hall is about £50 to rent, I can see if we can get a discount though...

I can make lotsa pizza too. Oven there's quite good, and large.
