Pedal on Parliament 28th April
CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 15years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

'like' lol :D
Great video :)
Love it,still gutted to have missed it :(
Good stuff, and nice to meet you, Gary.
I recognised a few of the kids from my afterschool in that video, I'll have to point them at this.
FABULOUS record - especially of the pre-ride hour or so + bicycle jam on city streets.
Brilliant video. Nice record of a great day.
Wish every day cycling was like this.
Favourite moments:
4:30 man with a chicken on his head!
5:00 huge crowd starts to leave the Meadows
5:15 huge crowd fills George IV Bridge
(and there were far more people in total than you can see there)
Thanks for the comments. Not an easy film to record on location. My front camera was not working so I lost 1/3 of my footage but still 12 GB footage to play with. Have gained a lot of knowledge and look forwards to next time, if there is one, hopefully?

The cool wee dude at 7:28 is mine! He's my youngest, aged 5, and one of the reasons I want to see cycle safety and infrastructure improved...
Thanks for the video!
Robert
try this potential nightmare scenario...
this is so great! (still watching!)
This is a great video (may have been posted already; so many threads!)
First of all the interesting comment from the person who posted it.
It is a great video for spotting people and it covers every section of the route.
I'm at 6:35 on the folding bike.
Spotted wfb at 7:50.
you're right! this one really gives a sense of the size - and gets me and mine in right around 8.30-8.37 - only video with us, i think.
especially impressive when you think that it covers the first 10 mins of the departure, but that that flow went on for more than twice as long!
custard - same here! Going to regret it for a long time I think!
Some very nice framing of bikes going down Royal Mile using the closes as a frame.... gives a great overview of the day. At start it's just from MMW but on High Street it looks brilliant. Good work!
SRD: you and mini-SRD are in full frame here, just behind some handsome devil in sky blue and camo green.

I got this link from Gavin Corbett after my session on WriteToThem. I didn't recognise him at the time, but I believe that's him on the green Brom at 00.25.
Also cameos from Instography'n'panda and the chap on the unicycle. I guess Roibeard, Greenroofer, BikeFan, DaveC and the MeepMeeps were towards the back of the group? At 1.16 long, the clip is way too short to contain all of us, which given it was just a feeder is pretty ace.
uberuce - good point! and good spot!
