I'm going to be cheeky here; Don't suppose any one has a work stand I could borrow for a day or two this evening?

My mtb brakes need bled and doing it while the bike is on the ground is just not working, need to get the wheels off and get better access and try not to get brake fluid all over the pads. Needs to be tonight or tomorrow as I'm away with the mtb at the weekend.

Aye. Could either bring it into the city centre tomorrow or arrange a swap somewhere midway this evening...

Is it a full sized one? Need to be able to get the front wheel up as well. It'll probably be easier for me to pick it up with the *ahem* car, not sure it'll fit in the Carradice.

Didn't know you could get not-full-sized stands. It's a big telescopic foldy-leg metal thing with a rotating clamp - one of the Revolution ones. Easily enough transported by bicycle (it was taken home thereby, albeit boxed, which probably made it more difficult) but I'll see what time/weather/pox-ridden-child limitations are like this evening.

If you're want to come round and pick up, mine is also an option tonight or tomorrow.

It is also a full-size one i.e. not just one you put the back wheel up on.

I wasn't sure if it was one of the chainstay lifty types.

Cheers Wingpig, I don't mind meeting you with car some where convenient for you, I'm likely going to be out and about by petrol conveyance any way.
