    Hi!
First: Thanks for the fun and useful forum. Without it I wonder if things like POP would have been organised or so successful? And now I know to look for otters in Dud. loch!

    Just a little niggle:
I had real trouble changing my password when I started using this forum ~a month or two ago. I eventually figured out it was because I need to fill in the whole 'Edit Profile' form as well as the new password boxes. This isn't at all obvious (and there is no clear error message after it's failed...). Also it says "These items are required", but it's not clear which these are.

One person I know hasn't posted for last 2 weeks as she can't be bothered to keep looking up the random-generated password! I wonder if others have been lost for the same reason?

Anyway, I know how annoying tweaking websites can be, so if it's a real pain, don't worry. Maybe make it clear that the whole form has to be filled to change the password, or something?

    Thanks again :)

    Yeah all valid points.

I ought to able to add some text to the relevant page - but it's not always obvious which HTML file generates which page.

    I'm not a systems geek.

The fact that you have to put something (a single character will do) into the two name boxes when you want change something - but not when you first sign-up - is annoying.

I have no idea how that can be changed.

I confess I cut and paste it from original e-mail if connection gets lost. I have been doing this since the start. How tragic, but now I am going to edit my entire profile now and change that password, oh yeah

If you wish to update your password, you may enter a new password twice below: NOTE There must be some content in BOTH name boxes for any changes to this profile to be saved.

Probably not a good idea to tell every one what you want to set your password to, though I'm sure he'll be flattered! :D

I'm encrypting my passwords. I used to use ROT 13 but now I use ROT 26 as its twice as good.

I had problems with passwords when I first joined. I guess the problem went away after I'd filled in my full profile?
