is it just me, or are the 'live blogs' and 'live feeds' just twitter feeds running a bit slow?

The BBC one had a few non-Twitter snippets. The table on the Steamie seemed to be failing, though that could be down to a page load order versus office-IT-police Twitter-block error.

    Ward 7 is in:
I think we had a green councillor who we seem to have lost.
Catherine Fullerton Scottish National Party (SNP)
    Eric Milligan. Scottish Labour Party
    Donald Wilson Scottish Labour Party
Denis Charles Dixon Scottish National Party (SNP
    Electorate, Votes Cast and Turnout
    Electorate: 23,877
    Votes Cast: 8252
    Turnout: 34.6%

Voter turn out is appalling though. 65% of people in Gorgie have no right to complain about the Trams or the roads!

Maybe someone mentioned it earlier, but in my ward Green got the most votes! (just!).
    http://www.edinburgh.gov.uk/downloads/file/7336/ward_9_fountainbridgecraiglockhart-summary_report

    so Ward 9:
    Elected:
Corbett (Green): 24.1% [edit: elected at stage 3]
Key (SNP): 23.5% [edit: elected at stage 5]
Burns (Labour): 23.2% [edit: elected at stage 4]

    Other:
    Searle (Conservative/Unionist): 21.1%
    Lowrie (LibDems): 7.3%
    Strode (Liberals): 0.7%

Although we can't see exactly how people voted, I would guess the libdem votes moved to green, and the conservative votes moved to SNP?

Good stuff :D (very happy ^_^)

[edit: The percentages are proportion of 1st preference votes]

@lionfish - what is amazing though is that he had the highest number of first choices! (I suppose that goes along with highest overall, but still telling - exactly why PR is such a good system)

@SRD: Yeah, or not even PR, just a transferable vote is a bonus. It's really nice to be able to go and vote without having to try to guess what everyone else is going to do!

    "I'd guess other way around Cons-Green Libs-Nats"

I'd guess even more random. Indications are that of the people who voted a lot really thought about they did/didn't want and used the system (in the way it was intended) to do things like not electing Jenny Dawe in a four seat ward!

@Zenfrozt: I don't know an easy way of figuring that out (there must be a postcode finder somewhere), but this page has lots of confusing maps!

Also to help there's a map on the wikipedia page in the corner.
