I was cycling along east end of NMW and spotted some lost kids gloves. thought they might below to a small crowriver, but wasn't sure and left them on fence at cnr townswomen's guild walk prominently displayed. turns out they are related to crowiver. if anyone goes past, maybe you could rescue them?

It wasn't there when I cycled past last night - your advertising obviously did the trick, Kaputnik!

Well done, MeepMeep! Out and about on two wheels already. How are the injuries healing? What's the new steed then?

Thanks, Pocopiglet! Took it easy and thankfully not too painful so providing I don't tweak the ligament that was damaged and make sure my form is spot on, I'll be good for commuting next week.

Repairs to my bike were going to cost more than I paid for it so I got exactly a brand new version of the same model. Insurance stuff is progressing well too so bike, helmet and jacket replacements should be covered with no issue, and I also got my loss of earnings on Monday covered. No trouble with liability admission and the woman was still very upset on Thursday when I contacted her.

Still a little nervy about cars approaching junctions quicker than necessary and those that edge forward as I'm riding towards them but far too stubborn to let that stop me getting back on my bike!

    MeepMeep - get an AirZound

Absolutely fantastic for getting drivers' attention - just a couple of toots will let them know where you are. And a long blast will have them on the brakes and looking for an HGV :o)

Glad to hear you're back on the bike!

Glad to hear you're back on road... Airzound is good. Dutch guy in Scotsman today with something louder... Can't get pic but worth looking at for a laugh.

I am always edgy with drivers edging out. Very near miss at terrible junction for cars to get out at kinsnowe near the golf course. Unusually I had the old codger in my line of sight indeed I was looking straight at him and he at me and still he drove right at me. I was not as magnanimous as meep meep and I infringed both rules of this forum.

On lost garments there is a lovely wee crocheted baby pixiehat on a fence post on the maiden's cleugh path to glencorse. I am sad for the baby and parents who have lost it

+1 for airzound, I've got one on the tourer/regular commuting bike and it's great for dozy potential smidsy's or unobservant people in heavy traffic.
Also good to hear you're back on the road Meep Meep :-)
