I've seen a few threads about cyclist-police relations on this forum recently, and I have to say that, all in all, you seem to be quite civil to one another.

Especially when I compare it to what happens over here. There is so very little respect between the two camps that I don't think I'll ever trust riding on the roads here.

Did I mention that, more than anything, I miss riding in a civilized country such as yours?

Still didn't like hearing the words

Would you mind stepping into the back of the vehicle sir.

But this was during the education part of the campaign. I wonder if it is going to get nippy when the fines start to be handed out.

On the other thread related to this with the fines for driving in the bus lane, I wonder if the two car drivers who use the bus lanes all the time are going to pay their fines.?

Do you think they'll "do a Keith Brown" and defiantly refuse to pay the fines, then boast about it years later while standing for election on some populist platform?
