Going to Belgium for the night, so roll may be a bit off by the time I got back. My wife says she'll be trundling the pram past to get one tough. :)

We had someone mention that bacon rolls might not be the most appropriate 'healthy' food give away, so we thought we ought to mention that we've also got veggie sausage rolls, and fresh orange juice too :)

Just realised I haven't replied to your email!
I'll try and make it along tomorrow am, but (and this is going to sound like a cracking excuse) we got two new chickens at the weekend, and introducing them to the two old girls has involved a bit of toil, so if I'm not up early monitoring the situation (though they're physically separated at the moment) I might well be catching up on sleep after doing the early morning thing since Saturday...

p.s. bacon rolls not 'appropriate'??? One of the joys of cycle commuting is that you are then ALLOWED to eat that sort of stuff without feeling guilty and without it having as much effect. If anything providing bacon rolls is even MORE appropriate than OJ and veggie sausages (save for veggies obviously).
If we want to promote the idea that cycling is 'normal', and not restricted to those who are actively trying to be uber-healthy then I reckon one of the main messages is that you don't have to give up cream cakes and bacon rolls and fizzy pop.

EXACTLY. and cheaper/time saving than gym etc (i hate exercising indoors, whatever sport: pools, rinks etc, but gyms definitely the worst)

and they're smelly and people watch you, and the music is bad, and sometimes you even have to talk to people...yuck!
I'm just spoiled. I learned to skate on frozen lakes, and swim and kayak on (mostly) unfrozen ones and just never adapted to the indoor training thing.

It's a BYO situation for beer and fags I'm afraid. Plenty of other folk seem to enjoy a wee tipple down by the water there :)

Just back from a most excellent 'al-fresco' WeLoveLeith breakfast.
Met Anth heading other way.
Event was pretty well attended with lots of brakes being hauled on at the shout of 'bacon roll!' or 'Vegetarian Equivalent'. Some people with MP3s missed out!
Hope someone can post a pic or two*. Now heading to Castle Street for the Better Way to Work event.

Thanks for posting those great pics. We'll be editing our video this afternoon to see if we can get a decent Youtube clip out of it.
We'll post that up to http://www.greenerleith.org when it looks right, as I'm not sure how to embed it here.
I think we had about 60 folk in all, not including the pedestrians who we thrust our bonus bags at as they passed by. About 15 folk also got seen to by Dr Bike.
