who polices double reds?

    wardens or police? ie any point in tweeting L&B to complain about van parked on cnr gilmore place / leven st?

    Wardens primarily - although if vehicle is causing an obstruction then police can act.

    Used to be polis. Think it's been decriminalised now, no?

    Just realised I'm responding after Morningsider, who would know rather more about the subject than this correspondent.

    this was the bloke who told me 'you're allowed to stop on double reds to load'. yeah right! and, of course, all the cars coming round the corner veered out to avoid his van (half blocking pavement half blocking lane) and as a result clipped the ASZ.

    Pretty daft to park on double reds just round the corner from where the wardens start their beat...

    ...mentions red lines in relation to London. It's not massively clear, but the implication is that licensed taxis and blue badge holders can park, and load/unload on red lines.
