@chdot I'm not sure what you mean...

Well I assume you'll be approaching from different directions so it'll be like jousting. You'd be able to do a split screen edit.

Then one of you'll have to turn round and race...

Hmm, unfortunately I didn't make it! I hope there will be another opportunity. I'll get my lance serviced in anticipation.

You have a dirty mind but I have just realised that reference might not be obvious, Chdot mentioned jousting so I thought lance!

    Quite right!

And when you've tried that there's someone on here who knows about bicycle polo.

Mystery bike. Is there more than one orange recumbent in Edinburgh query.

      Is it orange Dave?
Is it parked somewhere in the region of Perth St?

This is a LB customer's bike I reckon. Will look like one in the Bollard Video? That's the LB demo Fuego but is actually smaller frame.

Nazca Fuego with SON / B&M lighting used for commuting - 30+ mile round trip. Very comfy and client carries a fair amount too.

You want someone to pass you on a windy day then tuck in behind them - let them take your wind.

@Min - much easier to chase a person in front than to stay ahead with no one to chase, also hills are a factor in slowing down the larger homo sapien.

@Min - No worries, will catch you another time, today I don't know when I will be on the road home, depends on how healthy my flexi time is...
@Dave - glad to see someone else saying "oo-er" before me ;)

    Stolen from Twitter

"Mr competitive MTB on the commute this morning - blasted off from every set of lights. I wasn't really in the mood to race him.

So instead I drafted him while riding sat up with no-hands on the bars. I'm not competitive, I've just got more style."

  21. Yes, I was that no-handed cyclist. Some mornings it's more fun to watch someone toil rather than leave them behind.

As I posted later, I'm not a fast cyclist, but I'm a fast commuter...

Couldn't help myself today, despite having a stinking cold and wheezing on my MTB I somehow thought it would be a good idea to draft the shaved legged roadie on the carbon bike on that uphill bit of Corstorphine road.

Did quite well. For about 5 minutes. Then sense intervened. Testosterone, eh?

@Min - I'll be on the same path starting in Scotland Yard park an entering Rodney St Tunnel just after 5pm this evening, good luck catching me ;P

Who airzounded me and then overtook me heading uphill on the Innocent on Tuesday just after 5pm?

@Kirst - I never zound another cyclist although I am getting tempted to zound them when they are coming in the other direction behind a pedestrian on their side of the path and don't warn the pedestrian
Also I don't go the Innocent way

That rules you out then! I didn't mind the zounding. I had my mp3 player on anyway. I must apologise to whoever I went past this morning as I was singing along to the Freddie Mercury & Montserrat Caballé album with full-on operatic trills.

Why does no-one have their video cameras at a time like this??

Hmm, I'd need it since I'll still be at work then! Unfortunately I'm not normally around there at that time, it would just have been a few days in the last couple of weeks. Would I have got double points for passing someone as speedy sounding as "Spytfyre? :-)

I did have a roadie with muscly legs pass me this morning and briefly considered a chase. But only briefly.
