Anyone else get this email about something called 'Samsung bike week'.
Is it just me that is sick and tired of every single stupid thing having to have commercial sponsorship to the point of renaming it? Bleargh!
CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 15years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

No, most certainly not just you. Nauseated in extremis.
In the case of Sky's errrr… Sky Ride we just didn't bother registering and cycled along the road anyway. No tabard and no data mining for Mr Murdoch.
Perhaps it's a good sign that Samsung think bikes are worth some advertising dollars.

This.
Yes, it's vaguely depressing, but at least a sponsor is actually interested that is not a bicycle manufacturer...
I suppose they put money into it as well, probably much needed. But yes, I find named sponsorship things irritating as well. Especially when the sponsor pulls out and they have to find a new one and rebrand it aly. So the Capstan Sportive you are used to suddenly becomes the Buckfast Belter.
