CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 16years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

For old times sake, of course
I may be there. Gonna have an early morning fox cub watch, can then spin by PY.
Shall we have a takeaway 'in bush' meet?
Aye, can do.
PS, if anyone knows anyone that wants a steel Giant commuter with only 3,800 miles on the (my) clock...
"Shall we have a takeaway 'in bush' meet?"
That sounds sooooooooo wrong... When I say *may* I do of course mean I will be there, though possibly slightly later than usual if the cubs are about and performing cutely.
Is this in PY?
"Is this in PY?"
Sounds like it'll be in some shrubbery somewhere.
Does he have foxes in his yard?
Bring me a shrubbery!
No we'll leave the 'in bush' activity to Anth. Who can change his name to Anth in the bush. Which is worth exactly a half of an Anth in the hand. Sorry.
Short answer: PY. Unless someone can suggest somewhere more franjabulous.
Peter? No foxes. Cyclists, Hipsters, Students, Families and Academics mainly.
If I brought young Albie Fox along there would be one though.

Anth, whose children are required to fettle dérailleurs and brakes every day before breakfast, while smiling engagingly at their Daddy. :>
I could try for PY tomorrow, if it isn't pouring with rain. Getting soaked isn't really conducive to going out on the bike when one is on holiday. Mind you, I do have some new Humvees which need trying out.
Want, but can't do. Got to shackle myself to the desk by 7.30 at the latest.
In case he forgets to update - Stepdoh has been tweeting to say he's jinxed himself and his cassette has gone done a fail on him, so he won't make his own party.
Ouch a 7:30 start... you have my condolences Uberuce
I have offered Stepdoh a bike but he's yet to get back to me. Anyone know another way of contacting him?
I could go and stand under his window and shout but that'd be a bit weird, though perfectly in keeping with the area.
I cant make it - new job = longer hours including struggling to do PYs - or much social media :-(
Stepdoh, if I dont see you, will catch up on twitter sometime - all the best in nz.
Alas, I'm on a 7.30 train to Perth ...
Many, many apologies I didn't turn up this morning. Think my bike has deduced that it's not coming with me and has decided to pack a sad. Going to put it into Eastside on Sat for em to have a poke at it and hopefully get it back to saleable condition.
Thanks for all the offers of bits and even bikes. You really are a bunch of lovely lovely people. Even Wingpig who has forever left me with an image of him standing on great junction street shouting: "Stellaaa!"
May I be the first to say 'tsk'.
Sorry you could not make it too. I hope you are able to get to work ok in the last couple of weeks of work. My offer of a lend bike stands. Anth did mention having a leaving drinks but we fear you have too much to do in you're last few weeks.
