Well done to ALL posters

The Blackbird’s urban beer garden is the perfect place to sip some of Edinburgh’s best cold cocktails on a warm summer evening.

Was it this size when it was the Auld Toll or have they knocked down a wall??
Cumberland is a lovely beer garden but does not get the sun after five o'clock. Will be chilly down there tonight. Used to drink on occasion in the auld toll. Never outside, probably only when dark and wintry. The grey horse in Balerno has done some work on their beer garden, it is quite nice on a sunny day.
I had Lunch last year about this time in what might have been the highest beer garden in England in a pub in Allston in Cumbria which is the highest market town in England. Though we cycled there from Northumbria and descended quite a bit to get to Allston.
I would give an honourable mention to the beer garden / patio of the Links Bar in Brunstfield, which gets the sun most of the evening, and I'm told the grub is once again favourable.
Surprised no mention of Summerhall

We may be stumbling into issues around defining "beer garden", but the Tan Hill Inn is the highest pub in England (1,732 feet, fact fans) and has some outside tables.
The beer 'garden' of the Star Bar in the New Town is not well known, but good and sunny in the afternoon.
Haha, this is from 2012! Hence why there are loads missing. Thanks anyway for sharing and joining in.
Recently discovered that The Pond on Salamander Street has an excellent beer garden out the back.
The Foresters' Guild in Portobello has a row of beach huts in their beer garden (good if it rains).
