Hopefully not offenders with an interest in stealing bikes and taking them apart to rebuild new bikes that can't be identified by the owner...

So cynical for one so young; although that said, the second best monstermaking powerlifter/strongman gym I've ever been to was in Shotts maximum-security prison, and I couldn't help thinking that I'd detected a flaw in their logic...

How to apply for a free, new-to-you-bike via CEC.
"If you are in any of the following categories, you can apply for a free-of-charge, new-to-you bike:
[ul]- single parent
- disabled person
- in receipt of state benefits
- elderly
community organisation or group- school
- after school club
- play scheme
- youth club
- young people's residential unit
- community bicycle club
- person with additional support needs
- person with an allocated social worker or support worker.
[/ul]To apply, download the Brake the Cycle application form, print, fill it out and hand it in to your local workshop."
and there are four workshops currently in Edinburgh.
