Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.

Wow - but quite a bit heavier than most helmets.
Looks a bit warm in Summer - even if summer only lasts a week in Scotland.
Always suspected it was only a matter of time before that insurance ad. with the guy falling off some scaffolding spawned the personal airbag.
I'd be looking for a whole body one for the full Michelin-man effect though.
Neal Stephenson, SF suthor of the ace and win Snow Crash, Diamond Age, Cryptonomicon, as well the truly epic and frighteningly well researched System of the World historical romp trilogy, came up with that idea.
He also invented Google Earth, although I think like Arthur C. Clarke he didn't patent it, so legally Google Earth invented Google Earth. Read Snow Crash if you don't believe me.

How funny. Picture of Cav in Hyde park doing sky ride withnloadsnofnkids. All helmeted up but with Kelly brook sans lid on pashley with wicker basket. Clearly ot in contract that her hairdo could be mussed up (picture was in today's metro).
