I for one, wouldn't complain if it means that the tram works reach their conclusion faster?

I think it was a bunch of us who complained about the Meadows wasn't it?
'fraid I find myself in agreement with the EEn this time. Although I would take issue with claims that parking is a problem in Edinburgh. I refuse to believe this until I hear that the council=provided car parks are actually used to something near capacity.

I don't know why fencing off areas for private car parking would get the tram completed quicker though.
I wonder what they will do? The council told me they couldn't do anything when I complained about North St Andrew St being completely blocked off for the same purpose.

lol just my somewhat naiive theory that if they can park there, they have to spend less time hunting for a car parking space and can spend more time working :P

Or unneccessairly digging up / fencing off / rerouting bits of cycle path?
The cut-through at Russell Road was getting quite bad with contractors vehicles parking on the widened pavements, although I notice that's happening a lot less now so perhaps words have been had.
Section of the Broomhouse path been fenced off for the purposes of storing lots of mud on it shifted from another part of the site. I assume it's much easier process to close off bits of cycle path for the purposes of mud stowage than closing the road.

Yeah but you're not David O'Leary. When you call, you're "just some cyclist". When he calls clearly the Council start bricking it about another populist campaign...
