It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.

There was a UK one a couple of years ago - Cycle Social or something, which seemed to fizzle out and then got folded into something else. I joined it but it didn't have anyone in my area. These things need a reasonable critical mass to be effective, especially if you live somewhere not very wired like Dumfries and Galloway...
