@Greenroofer - I have the Contour+ camera, which does indeed have GPS on it. Is it worth the cost? Well, that's a good question. I previously used a DogCam Bullet HD Wide and had no end of problems with it, so it wasn't worth the £130 it cost me. The Contour GPS was going to be £220 but I'd need to shell out an extra £25 to get some wee card that you use to get it to work with your iPhone/Android phone, or £320 for the Contour+. I used the justification that I no longer drink or smoke (7 years, 12 years respectively) to persuade myself to pay for it.
In terms of what it gives me that I really value; well, the fact you can view the GPS on a map which moves while you watch a video is just, well, pretty special. It has a removable battery which is important for rides over 90 minutes long since you just pop in a spare battery. The options you have on video and audio are excellent; you don't have to record on 1080p all the time if you don't want. The thing doesn't crash, and it's very simple to use - it has a nice big button which you slide to start/stop it, and it beeps once to acknowledge that it's starting to record, twice to acknowledge that it's stopped recording, and three times if it has an error such as running out of battery of memory. You can put a 32GB MicroSD card in it, incidentally, so plenty of hours recording goes on that. You can also get a wide range of mounts for it too. They are not cheap, but damn, they work.
But in terms of the GPS functionality itself - it's not as accurate as my Garmin devices. The Edge 800 is ridiculously accurate, the Contour+ not quite as accurate, and they sit beside each other on my handlebars. But it's still more accurate than a mobile in your pocket.
HTH.
