Lesley Hinds is the CEC transport convener, but she is delegating the responsibility for cycling to her deputy.

In keeping with the coalition now running the city she is Labour he is SNP.

After the loss of Gordon McKenzie to cycling, perhaps the cloud has a silver lining?

At least it seems he might be in a position to "get it"

he was very interested in my view of the action plan. At Biko freebie brekko. I mumbled 20 mph would be good if enforceable.

Amazingly almost as many councillors as CCE folk there. All good to see. I also have all the spokes maps now absolutely FREE (including Glasgow)

@anth, the Spokes rep said that you can call Clarence and they will send a set out to you (that's the small Edinburgh area ones - East, South etc.).

the small ones the council produces are handy, but not as good as the spokes ones. depends on your purpose, i suppose, and how keen you are on maps :)

I am to maps as Oscar is to trash (in case you don't know Oscar, he lived in the bin in my early version of the mac in 1992 and when I deleted something he popped out and sang alternately - oh I love trash OR I love it because it's trash. he also appeared on sesame street. I used to deliberately delete files just to hear his voice.
