Somewhat unfortunately, I'm now in the position to be able to say how well a Fuego resists being struck by the business end of a BMW. The answer - surprisingly well, and certainly better than my knee...

All very slow, so recovering at home with painkillers, tea, and some Percy Pigs.

Dear me, seems like it's the season for darksiders in general - I was involved in a crash on Leith Walk the other day too (although in the end I emerged as the one laying out the punishment).

Perhaps I should include this as a metric on my reviews?

    Hope you feel better soon...

They're weird looking things, overly complicated and far too low down, if you ask me.

Knees, I mean. Sorry to hear yours got a biff.

I did crash my Raptobike into the side of a u-turning car actually, while passing a line of stationary vehicles. The guy was mortified that he hadn't checked his mirrors (just assumed there wouldn't be anything there). Fortunately it was uphill, so I got away freely though may have left some recumbent "front infrastructure" marks in his door...

One thing I definitely miss now I'm riding a normal bike through town is that I can't see the faces of each driver in their mirrors and play the "are they looking" game.

Get well soon Darkerside. Hope there were deeper and significantly more-expensive to buff out scratches left in the Beamer

Pleasingly the entire combined momentum of both vehicles acted through my outstretched pedal, resulting in a pleasantly well defined hole in the culprit's wife's BMW's front bumper.

Good to see you're not hobbling about too much. The beetroot and carrot cake form Pastures has restorative powers. Hope you got some flapjack too.

I'm late to this (busy at work so less thread checking than normal) but I hope you have fully recovered and Mr Bemmer is paying out for a new bike!
