Any tips on getting to Forrester high school by bike this evening?

This is the way I'd go, fairly light traffic and avoids the worst roads. Apart from a chunk of Gorgie road...

Thanks Steveo. Wish they'd tried that. They went out the canal and wiped out. Limping home. Means I get to do all the transport for the next few days :( Could've been worse, I suppose. Think I'm going to try a new tyre on the front of the Helios though. I've gotten so cautious about it slipping that I nearly stop everytime I turn.

Nothing too serious I hope, didn't get wet?

Nope, no canal entry, but lots of blood...and an ensuing logistics nightmare.

Steveo - thanks a million for your route. No probs other than a wrong turn that took me through lovely bits of Costorphine that I'd never seen before. Of course, it would help if there were signs near the entrance to Stenhouse drive...we took a chance and turned, and as we cycled up it, I asked three different groups of pedestrians if it was stenhouse drive. they all did 'I dunno' kind of gestures, by which time we'd hit some signage. anyway, nice 20 minute cycle, just like your route suggested!

Did you end up going round Corstorphine high street, Past the Corstorphine inn? Yeah it's nice up there, probably a more pleasant route than the posted one and only a small detour.

bingo! we'd have been too early otherwise, so detour was handy.
