If anyone fancies giving bike polo a go a group of us are playing every thursday at inverleith park basketball court beside the tennis courts from 18:30 til it gets dark and we go to the pub.Everybody welcome we have all the gear and you can even borrow a bike for a game if you don't want to scratch up the old commuter. It's a great laugh and its made me learn how to build a wheel!!

  3. Have we covered the fact that in late July Edinburgh will be hosting the UK National Championships? I'll be there (camera in hand rather than mallet).

recombodna, you don't happen to know who is organising it do you? I fancy getting in touch and then seeing if I can interest the Evening News in an article on it...

  9. The ice has melted and tyres are being warmed for the UK bike polo championships at

    Murrayfield Curling Rink

Entry for spectators is only a £2 donation which allows you in to see mallets and bikes clashing (and crashing) and the rounds intensifying as teams from across the UK battle to win the coveted title of UK Champion.

If anyone would like to come along it's all taking place on the:
16th-17th of July, 12-5pm, £2 donation. We have a bar, a raised viewing gallery and the best (read: roughest) bike-polo you're likely to see this side of 1910.
