Suspicious... I was at or on my way to Edinburgh Bicycle at about that time...
Of course, I suppose everybody has me at a permanent disadvantage in the 'spotted' stakes ;-)

A short, upright sort of recumbent, recombodna? Might've been me mixing it up in the rush hour traffic.

Probably you then Dave?.Waiting at the junction beside Howies at Bruntsfield pace Black hemet?. I went past you. Red bike Blue cap. ;-)

Or you Arellcat....all these recumbants look the same to me ;-p. I tried one once and fell off...........

It wasn't me then as I ride bare-headed.
The search continues...

Wasn't me... I was out on an orange recumbent but only stopped at Salvatore's on Roseneath Place to have a cup of tea before heading out to Sheriffhall P+R.
Was chatting to owner when he noticed a machine going by window up Marchmont Crescent. I caught a glimpse of the dragon motif on its tailbox. That would be Dave on way to EBC...Posted 14 years ago # -
I don't recall seeing the passing rider with the blue cap, but I did spend several long moments waiting to turn right from Merchiston Place onto the main road at about half past five - I'd only just finished work. Black helmet, black fleece, black tights and a black recumbent would be right.

Mark the topic resolved then.

Soz Kim! Will do. And a little something for Arellcat.....

Helios Circe tandem - kitted for small rider - at Waitrose Morningside this evening (5.30ish?). Nice to see it out and about.

Spotted SRD? doing quick turn from North Meadow path and heading up MMW.
I had two learners trailing behind me so spend too much time looking in mirror.
Also spotted CHdot at Argyle Place doing
camera surveillancephotography.Posted 14 years ago # -
I was obviously going too fast, I only saw the first two recumbents!
But couldn't resist the urge to point and shout 'spotted' at Mr Laidback.
(Could prove a fun game/way of recognizing fellow travellers in itself)

Yes... I was jealous of you. I have to cycle slowly and pick people up every 100 yards as they struggle to get round park ;-)
You came in quick from the West. Was most releived to see you go away from the collision zone!Tomorrow though a sub-section of the forum is planning a faster spin on these most difficult of bikes.

Spotted: Chdot?
Morningside Park, Friday at around 21:45.
No idea what chdot looks like* but pretty sure the bike was a Moulton.
*and still don't - was paying more attention to the bike.

"No idea what chdot looks like* but pretty sure the bike was a Moulton."
Nope
Last week was a non-Moulton week.
(Couldn't find my 5/32" allen key)

"Nope"
Hmm, more than one Moulton in Edinburgh then? ;)

"more than one Moulton in Edinburgh then?"
Well I've got more than one.
Other people have at least one too...

Helios Tandem loaded with bags at about 8 last night coming out of the meadows and down forrest road.
'twas me coming back from the first of a few days freelance poster hanging for Big House Events on behalf of the Edinburgh Film Fest at Cineworld The People versus George Lucas EIFF premiere
The tandem is ideal for hanging a bulky bag with my work stuff - harness, hard hat and hi-viz. The rear pedals stay below the load and the bag simply hangs over rear bars in a nice untechnical kind of way...
The bike is then parked all day at the prominent bicycle racks at Cineworld where it can be seen and admired. So it does two jobs at once...

I just stalked Kirst on the Innocent (sorry for scaring you!). In fact I spotted panniers, then bike, then thought I may as well stop and ask! And then blame pixies or something if it was a complete stranger. :-)

Then she overtook me and left me for dust...
Did you see the woman who fell off in the tunnel? That must have hurt, she was just picking herself up when I came by. She was heading downhill and she says she got cocky and leaned too far over. She's going to have some great scabs to pick.

Hey, I've just met a 5th forum member in person - three of whom live in my neighbourhood. Really nice to make all these contacts and meet such nice folks (and thanks for the trailer trial miggy_magic!)

Oowwwwwwwww! No I didn't, must have happened just after I passed. Poor woman.
And sorry about the dust. My bike does need a good clean. I am still trying to blame the volcano,,

For dust, not in dust!

SRD is my first CCE real life encounter! Also, I have spotted Dave's bike in the work's bike shed, if that counts.
