"Back-spotted Mr BikeChain this morning but even on reviewing the video footage I can't see Mr Wilmington on Melville Drive yesterday."
Opposite side of the road from you, big white backpack, West of the temporary lights.

For once I was on the receiving end of being spotted today. Two fixed riders pulled up at the top of Dundas street with some bike polo kit.
One of them (Colin?) seemed to know me, having seen myself around toon and at work. I was so mentally fried from 8days on work - they could have told me that my bike was on fire, and I would have smiled and nodded. Slightly off topic : Any idea where they do the bike polo about? Popular?

"Any idea where they do the bike polo about?"
Sometimes Morningside.
Recently - "The court is a car park on Breadalbane st off Broughton rd" (I assume that's meant to say Bonnington.)

"Popular?"
It is with people who do it...

SCR scalp of the morning... Lad a with a decade on me, shorn legs and all, passes at the entrance to the approach road, I proceed to keep with him along Dundee street, we get stopped at Viewforth (luckily) where I cunningly pass him on green as... his chain crunches off the front rings. Moral of the story good leg maintenance is no replacement for good bicycle maintenance. With your bike your just a runner. :D

@steveo Good job your pedals and left-hand crank arm are currently operating without crumbling or slipping off.
Zenfrozt again on the Coburg St cobblepark bit of the WoL.
@Wilmington I'd discounted that entity on the grounds of the white rucksack; thought you'd be in that big coat with a Crumpler.

Morningsider, on Morningside Drive. The plastic shards on the ground a few hundred metres up the road from where we passed are explained elsewhere.

Kim and - someone else who looked strangely familiar in a PY Friday kind of a way - doing slow motion filming today on MMW. I was slow motion filmed!

Yes... Kim and cameraman shot two trikers with me at 11.30 today on way to Portobello.
I noted the big yellow signs telling cyclists to use an alternative route. Maybe a prop for the shot as no alternative was marked?Posted 11 years ago # -
The woman on a great big scooter which gets pulled by her husky-looking mutt, on the canal at Meggetland.

Spotted tandem crossing fountainbridge, quite near the pedestrian crossing this morning. Only one rider. Spotted another tandem going up ardmillan tonight, two riders. Neither was SRD, both were longer older tandems. Spotted orange recumbent in bike park at work, a first. All happening today

Was one of them you LB?Was Friday maybe. Two trikes and bike on short tour. Basically I use the trip to Portobello to get people's skill levels up going round barriers. One day it will all be sorted and it will be too easy(!)

Mr chdot, providing further evidence of my theory that shortcuts are macro-scale examples of the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle - their position and velocity is intrinsically inderminate until after you have made the observation, by which time you're back on the route anyway.

Definitely a rarity on the way home tonight along the canal: by Hailes Quarry Park I passed a chap on a unicycle making good speed westward. He was clearly a braver man (and better unicylist) than me, because, when we passed he elected to take the side of the towpath by the water...

@greenroofer Unicyclist who carried the big '2' at the POP launch lives in the vicinity.
