I just exchanged waves with Mr Ubueruce upon Harrison Road/Gardens - a most cheering moment after a rather moist ride

    He was wearing arm warmers?

  4. I wish I could say I'd photoshopped them in, but no, they were there.

You'll be in long trousers next.

I were freezing on Tuesday morning, and it was raining at the time I put them on. This morning I am back exercising bears, fret not.

I'm reliably informed that the bike has chuff all meaning in the context of the pub. Apart from they're obviously not ones to shy away from jumping on a "what's cool now" bandwagon.

I thought it was a ghost bike to remember someone who died from drinking too much Tango.

38 men, 6 women, 6 juniors and 12 kids riding the Edinburgh 48s CX series at craigmillar castle this evening. Was a top race and good to see so many attending despite hail and it being right cold.

Man on a big Dutch bike this morning coming up slope from Telfer Subway. Had entire frame painted/taped in yellow stripes like a big iron wasp.

It was the furry cat-ears attached to the top of his helmet that first caught my attention!

In order of appearance at this afternoon's POP demo: Dave paused on Middle Meadow Walk; Laidback recumbenteering along Melville Drive; Wingpig plus mini-wingpig cycling along the queue of cyclists, (trying to find someone?); Fimm on a Brompton heading along Melville Drive to the back of the large column of agitating cyclists; Nice chap from Portovelo (whose name I can't recall): he spotted me first. Oh and of course chdot snapping away near the illustrious speakers at the end of the brief procession.

Apart from the Portovelo chap and Uberuce I don't think anyone spotted me. Might have been because I was 'incognito', sans tandem (sans mrs crowriver), and riding solo.

Only person I spotted was Sally - only because I've seen pics of her before, and she said she would be the one selling the POP T-shirts.
I was the loony one with balloon flowers & POP posters on bamboo poles sticking out my panniers, and pink balloons on my helmet.

I saw Steveo, the winged pig, kaputnik, chdot, SRD, uberuce and that's all. I think. I saw lots of other people that I didn't know. Didn't get to chat to them all.
