TBH, I think we all saw each other today - I'd get cramp typing out all the names of the folk I met and saw - what was much better was I got to put faces to names and met a whole bunch of people.
'Twas good
CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 15years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

Apart from the Portovelo chap and Uberuce I don't think anyone spotted me.
Was on the ridge one behind you at Parliament. Recognised your cap.
Good to see so many others out that I recognised and I'm sure plenty that I didn't.
Think I clocked chdot, Anth, PS, Kim, Uberuce, SRobComp, Recombodna, SRD, Fimm, CC, Instography, Steveo, Smudge +1, Wingpig +1, Laidback, Arellcat, Darkerside, Gembo, Zenfrozst, Tom, Ruggtomcat, AlanR, Retrodirect, Colin, ShuggieT, excitableboy, Tulyar. And that's just CCE - countless others from Twitter and ERC.
Apologies to all whose names I forgot.
Saw a few people I know, and a lot I don't :-) Didn't spot Gembo though :-/
Hello to those I met, and apologies to any I ignored!
Didn't spot Gembo though
That's odd, you were talking to him!
(He had the oversized tweed baker boy cap and matching orange glasses on)
Think I got all but 2 on k's list, plus a few others.
I was spotting by bike -

@POPScotland #POP2 marshalls beginning to arrive pic.twitter.com/6gPMewP7OJ
And the black and yellow Helios
And this combo (cycled all the way from Glasgow!)
This machine didn't have its normal riders.
MP and MSP meet man with Lycra under his kilt.
Ahhh, that explains it :-o
Not having knowingly met Mr Gembo before I assumed he was just another friendly soul having a chinwag!
Apologies Mr G!
"Not having knowingly met Mr Gembo before"
Even if you had, that hat was pure disguise.
There is a very exclusive Tweed club that formed during PoP. kaputnik managed to sneak in with his tweedy bag, but there is an even more exclusive sub-set of the tweed hat, and even further than that flat caos are frowned upon - the baker boy Robert Redford sting-style is the only thing to be seen in.
So the tweed underpants don't count then...?
I saw SRD, and Wilmington's Cow, but I didn't recognise other forumites; I'm sure I've seen you, though; I was one of the guys handing out Spokes leaflets along the line in MMW before we started off. The one-minute silence and bell was great but it sounds kind of strange if you're a long way down the line, say right on Melville Drive or even further.
"So the tweed underpants don't count then...?"
*itch*
Possibly ARobDisguisedinBusinessWear, just now, around the CBD.
The politicians I saw were -
MSPs Kezia Dugdale, Jim Eadie, Paul Wheelhouse, Alison Johnstone, Sarah Boyack
MPs Ian Murray, Sheila Gilmore, Mark Lazarowicz
Councillors only saw (recognised at least) Cameron Rose -
Must have been more??
NOTE
ADDITIONS FROM COMMENTS BELOW
Cllrs Jim Orr, Nigel Bagshaw, Steve Burgess
As DB said at the end of the speeches - 'write to them'.
(AND the ones that weren't there.)
Jim Orr was there too. Was on the 'speakers podium' so should be in some snaps.
Pretty telling that of the seven Glasgow MPs I wrote to about the Get Britain Cycling thing (hence MPs not MSPs) and POP, only one responded, and even that was a 'won't speak to you as you're not in my area'.
I think ambushing them at their surgeries is the next step.
Thought I'd seen him around MMW.
Really don't remember him on grassy knoll.
yup. he was on the knoll.
Other Edinburgh councillors who were there:
Nigel Bagshaw and Steve Burgess [I spoke to both].
Thanks.
Um, yes I spoke to SB!
Busy day...
Saw Jim Orr near end of set off at MMW, just doing his bit, not making any party political point. Admit was in heavy tweed bunnet disguise, kids on canal towpath on my route home asking parents why that man was wearing that hat on his bike,
Big nod from Wingpig going down cowgate tonight, went for big thumbs up in response
saw laidback twice today! Both times going up the slope of MMW. Turns out recumbents not only can go up slopes, but go up them quickly!
Couple on a dark yellow tandem at ~9pm tonight on Gorgie road, westbound, at the crossing point with the WoL path just past Chesser. Seem to think I recognise them from somewhere.
Spotted EddieD before the ride; I was inspecting the route to ensure no silly road defects had appeared, he was inspecting the route to ensure he got a good spot to set up the timelapse camera.
Spotted steveo as Kappers, chdot and I were going back up the Royal Mile after the ride.
Steveo and I then bumped into Eilidh Troup, who organised the Harrison feeder.
I took chdot's 8-Freight back to Laidback's shop and then Spotted Zenfrozt as I was returning on Sally's Brom.
Spotted most of CCE in between the first and last of these.
bad: motorised scooter on canalpath
good: muhagabah* mum on Gilmore Place foot with 5 kids in front on pavement all on bikes. 4 girls and 1 boy (I think). Two eldest girls also in headscarves. Looking like they were all having a blast.

The Unexpected Wilmingtron afteryesternoon, upon Morrison.
At lunchtime today, LaidBack leading a party through Marchmont on various but groovy-looking recumbents.
DaveC, just before 9am, NEPR. I said hello but not sure if you recognised me: I was in the Audax Ecosse jersey so not hard to distinguish!
Arellcat in the red torpedo cruising up to Dundee st. Then Dave (?) at the top of lanark road, did you grind up there on your two speed?
