  1. That would be about right for me. Sand/yellow Kaffenback and Carradice bag? Just had a thought - I've got my video camera on the bars again - I can do a retrospective spot of steveo!

And I wonder I wonder. Someone ahead of me turned off at Argyle Place....

Actually just seen your head over a car, shouldn't do video reviews makes you too recognisable...

A retrospective spotted would surely deserve extra points, i was on my blue and white Gary Fisher roady (probably the only one in the city).

<quote Arellcat> Then 'spotted' LaidBack outside TBW, then a bit later spotted RJ cycling past. </quote>

Ah yes. There did seem to be a wee gathering outside TBW, though my i-d skills were less than cat-like in the gloaming ...

    *belated extra wave*

    Sand/yellow Kaffenback and Carradice bag?

And again same time and place this evening (I was on foot) not sure if that counts?. No white/blue Gary Fishers spotted however.

Dave, on ferry road path tonight. Toooo easy, my invisibility field neutralizing glasses are working well.

An occasional poster here, who has had years of tourers/hybrids, on a new Specialized carbon racer.

hi druidh, that was me yesterday night, and I was outside TBW - a VERY wet night. Yes, recumbent trikes can go in a straight line, but as I'm so close to the ground ( ~8"), I feel it's nice to dodge the potholes where possible. I go along that route back and forwards every day - into town about 08-00 and back out at ~18-00, unless like last night, I'm having something looked at by laidback. Hope that clears that up. BTW, who was the trike rider trogging UP Lanark Road hill at 08-00? I come down at that time, but no way am I trogging - I save that for the return journey.

I'm usually not to be seen at the Meadows i had just done a quick lap of Arthurs Seat. More likely to find me in Gorgie or Corstorphine.

    West side init!

BTW, hi Arellcat! It was lovely to meet you just before the rain descended last night. I'm on holiday for the next two weeks, so I've got time to relax and post on the forum.

Hi Smudge! In fact, I'm being thick - I re-read your post, it was me trogging up Wester Hailes Road (not Lanark Road) at 08-30; I turn out from Baberton, then up the hill - not the best thing first thing before I've had time to warm up, but then there's the rapid descent down Lanark Road to town. The trike is pretty comfortable uphill, but I think I'm out of condition.

Aha! Not the affluence of incohol then.

    It was certainly very wet!

Thoroughly spotted Min on her way from coffee this morning. Or rather, she spotted me but gave the game away by shouting. I was enjoying a relaxed bit of traffic jam at the east end of the Meadows, on my way for episode 3 of rabies injections.

Well I thought it only fair to allow a two-way spot for a change. ;-)

Is rabies endemic in Buccleuch Street?

No. We are off to the Himalaya for November, and as we will be about a week away from the nearest hospital*, ended up getting the pre-emptive shots.

I now feel like I've got to get my money's worth by poking rabid dogs with sticks, though. £140, and it's only good for 3-5 years, and you still need to get post-exposure shots anyway. Bah!

    kaputnik (?)

Possible, I was that close to work at that time, but I went via the railway cycle path to Pinkhill, down through the back streets, along Corstorphine High Street then via Gylemuir School and South Gyle station into the industrial estate. I was on the tourer with a large yellow backroller ont he right hand side.

Is anyone claiming credit for the three-seater tandem (does a three-seater tandem have a special name all of its own?) locked to the railings outside Surgeon's Hall on Saturday? It was a Thorne.

I believe they are called Trandems. Anyone read 3 men on a bike?

As you say a Thorn from SJS Cycles down South. Thorn / SJS CyclesThe Me'n'u2 was called a 'triplet' by them.

Was a best seller for that kind of thing. Thorn's ordinary tandems are quite common and gave great value for money. I notice now that they seem to concentrate on solo bikes...
