@DC Perhaps that's just the expression I wear when bicycling. I'll have a look at pictures of me on my stalker's Flickr stream as I'm pretty sure there's one where I'm frowning in a way which might be interpreted as puzzledly when I'm merely walking. I issued a vague verbal response once we had passed as I only twigged who you were when I discerned your glasses.

I'd say the Wingpig look is a good look and puzzled, or vaguely worried is close but could be persuaded to go for imperious, but imperious in a good way

  4. Kirst and Min yesterday on the Innocent Path; Min once again this morning. Both times got nice breaks on the uphill to or in the tunnel (been under the weather AND have the bigger chainring on the front of the Kaff now).

Cross-spotted from Twitter: Tom Allan's shiny Nihola bakfiet, locked up with a chain that puts mine to shame.

Spotted a gent this morning on a Moulton?? Looked a bit like a power tranmission tower on its side with small wheels on. Rider was in a red sleeveless top and cowboy style hat?? (I'm not big on hat names..)

I'll try and get a picture off t'interweb.

EDIT No pic but defo a dark coloured Moulton.

Maybe Zenfrozt yesterday evening being aggressively overtaken by a van under the Roseburn tram underbridgepass?

Its a resin soaked tape. Drys tougher than the bamboo (which is plenty tough)

Similar theory to doping (as in, fabric dope) I assume. Tough. Weatherproof. Taught. Highly flammable!

About fifty or sixty folk mostly between middle-age and codgerdom heading east through Leith Links, including a single recumbent near the back and one bloke with a parpy bulb-horn.

The bamboo bike is not mine BTW. The builder brought it in yesterday to let me see and have a shot. Rode very nicely. Not his last build either.

Just saw a man wheeling his bike along fountain bridge with what appeared to be a beer keg nestled between the saddle and the handles bars, gently resting on the top tube.

Presumably Laidback, talking to a car at the gate at the bottom of the road up the hill.

Was telling them that 'yes the road is open but to drive it slowly'. Maybe bad advice as a guy on Boardman came flying round and immediateley caught them up!

A former colleague on the towpath with his (I assume) daughters this morning. He was riding a rather attractive Kona Minute*. It was a gorgeous dark blue and very shiny.

*It's taken me literally all day to realise that this is 'minute' as in small, rather than time, presumably because it's the smaller Ute...

I'm just thankful that no-one spotted me commuting on my BMX yesterday! How embarrassing. I had not had time to fix any of the roadies or the CX so was stuck on the BMX for a day. Got home and immediately noticed my spare CX wheel with cassette, tube and tyre sitting at the side of my room. Face Palm. Now riding a weird hybrid roady CX with clicky gears.

A very nice Yuba Mundo with humungous panniers being used for deliveries in Rose Street. The size of the bike contrasted well with quite tall but very thin woman (in a fit and athletic kind of a way. I mean fit as in physically, healthily fit, which is not to suggest that she was unfit in the 'well fit' sense of the word but neither would I wish to imply... forget it ... just a woman with no adjectives) riding it.

Mr Dot on his 8-Freight, Morningside Road. In long trousers, which I think means he's part imp.

@Uberuce, yeah maybe it was chdot I saw too yesterday. Didn't get a good look as he was pulling away up Leith Walk from McDonald/Brunswick junction. Definitely an 8Freight though...
