Yesterday I spoke to a lovely lady and her daughter (on a rear child seat) at Tesco in Broughton where the Goldenacre path comes out. They went behind Rodney St EBC shop shortly afterward.
This morning I cycled along that path with a chap on a black Moulton and tag along. I said hello and we chatted breifly as we queued in traffic. They also turned off into Heriot Hill Terr and it appears that there are now a number of parents cycling their children to this nursery. Both children were very happy travelling by bike, smiling, and the young man this morning was making motorbike noises as I rode along behind him :O)
I think that junction could benefit from a cycle lane across the road, along to Rodney Street to join the one on Broughton street. Queueing vehicles always take up the whole of the street there and make it difficult to get through. I know the councill would want to promote the newley opened tunnel to Scotland street, but this is no as usefull for all those wishing to avoid Scotland streets cobbbbbbbbllllllles.

Had a mildly hilarious chat to two women in their (guesses) 60s heading along the NEPN to the Davidson's Mains Tesco. Neither had been on a bike for years so they were very slow and wobbly and lost. Pointed them to the supermarket and went away immensely cheered up - they were just getting on with it.

I saw a chap this morning on what was, I'm almost certain, a Pashley Roadster Classic. Brand new, shiny with tan Brooks.
Seen a fair few Pendleton / Princess / Poppy and old Raleigh variants.

SRD typed "Anyone else seeing loads of pashley-esques out and about?
Yes I have see loads these days, Mostly on the NEPN and ridden by ladies pootling along at a leisurely pace.

Yes, I saw a pretty pink Pashley locked up outside Hermiston Gait Tesco. My wife was asking just enough subtle questions ("what sort of bike is that?" etc) for me to realise that she's already thinking about a "proper" bike once she's learned to ride her Bike Station bargain!

Now you just have to spot me on it Stickman for it to count.

Mr MeepMeep reports he overtook Eddie of this parish on his way home outside Tynecastle this evening. I know no other details though he seemed pretty pleased to get a spot!

Pashley Guv'nor on Porty Prom, Tuesday afternoon. Had one of those Japanese brass bells on the bars. Ridden by a guy who would have not looked out of place in Shoreditch or Williamsburg.

Man on road bike coming down Lanark Road about 7:15am this morning towing 1-wheeled trailer with bright yellow bag in it. Thought I might have recognised them but wasn't sure.
(I have an awful memory for names and faces. Really, really bad :-( )

A couple of recumbents down at Cramond yesterday close to midday. A two wheeler and a trike. Was out with my 2 boys who were most impressed by them. My oldest has decided he wants one and won't stop talking about it.

SRD plus clan at Cramond Brig. Please excuse the sickening display of loved-up-esque matching attire of Mr MeepMeep and I. I had run out of my own cycling jerseys and had to borrow one of his - the fact our bikes are the same as well is simply coincidental!

MeepMeep + Mr meepmeep reverse spot at Cramond Brig + female recumbenteer on NEPN crossing costorphine road. I waved cheerily thinking it must be arellcat, but it wasn't!
Also, the Harts Cyclery guys also at Cramond Brig, but on return.

I wish they would put notes like this on some of the motor vehicles littering residential streets for months on end, which never move...

Lots of touring cyclists heading out of Edinburgh on the number 1 path to the FRB this morning, as I rode on the way in to work. Spotted a few pushing cycles up hills in places.
I also rode around the Lammermuirs on Sunday (yesterday) and spotted a lots of cyclists returning to Edinburgh as I rode out of Edinburgh towards the FRB on my ride home.
