Gembo, fire...that's what I've been missing. There's a joke there about "flaming recumbents!"

Reverse spot from Greenroofer as he jauntily made his way up Ashley Terrace. I had been wondering(quickly) if the driver who'd just overtaken Mr G. Roofer had also seen me before he began his maneuvre, so I didn't see the merry wave until too late.

I think I've managed to get this up before he's even home.

@Shuggie - you cycled past but I was disguised as a preambulatist. Didn't realise it was you until it was a bit late to say "hi"

chdot: "Spotted (competition). The Ghost Bikes have moved . . . Spot on."

One is behind the Tron Kirk; the other is at the top of Chambers Street. We were in Edinburgh for our regular Forbidden Planet/Tangs/Museum trip.

That's good - you'll be able to confirm I stopped at the side of the road!

Yes - I didn't see any prohibited undertaking or frown-upon overtaking. And we didn't beep the horn to say hi in case you bolted.

"I didn't see any prohibited undertaking"

If you had, would you have gone 'there's another lawbreaking cyclist'?...

Smudge, that was me on the helios. Your ECC t-shirt reminded me about the forum, and I've come back and stopped lurking. I was on my way to pick up 3 year old stoker.

Friday evening, Riversdale Rd (just west of Murrayfield stadium) - a fully-crewed triplet.

I saw what was probably the same fully-crewed triplet in roughly the same location on Thursday evening.

Yesterday saw four electric bikes (two folders; two traditional frames) heading south down Morningside Road. An organised ride?

SRD, retrieving her Heliaesosses* from their holiday storage, Morningside Road.

A tiger, looking remarkably like chdot, Morningside Road.

*Not sure what the conclusion was last time we discussed the plural of Helios, so I just did both.

At the allotment this evening. Fellow allotmenteer with his new bike...

    • Pedersen frame - check
    • Handbuilt to order in Germany - check
    • Brooks saddle and nice leather pouch on the seat tube - check
    • Cork handlebar grips - check
    • Rohloff hub gears - check
    • Gates Centretrack belt drive - check
    • Tubus alloy (titanium?) racks front and rear - check
    • Electric motor in front hub - check
    • German lights - check

I would probably have had it in British Racing Green or black rather than purple, but other than that OMG what a bike!

Nelly on our usual RV route, although I don't think I was counterspotted. I turned down Gillsland Thingmy before you were in hailing range, but I did wave.

Spotted a Paper Bicycle parked at Lancaster railway station this evening. Actually looked like one of the early prototypes judging by the greenish-white colour.

Lots of children cycling to school and nursery along the NEPN on a morning. So nice to see this! You'd never see this on a main road with a white line to protect the wee ones!

Chap in an ERC top, with small child on seat on crossbar in front of him and larger child on tag-along, going along Glimore Place yesterday evening. They then went along NMW while I chose Melville Drive as usual and I saw them waiting at the lights at the far end.
