Frankly, I never even knew that paint existed! I have always cut across the tracks before that point, but then I avoid the cycle lane there anyway. Besides, it might make a motorist think you are pulling into the left rather then coming back across the tracks.

True, but I've never actually been followed down there. 'Rush' hour?

@DaveC bottom of Haymarket Yards where the road turns right (or left, if you're going the other way)

Accessing the comedy "cycle lane" means crossing the tracks at the top and having to cross both sets at the bottom. Easier to go down between the two lines and then only cross one set near the bottom.

99% sure that kaputnik was following me up Middle Meadow Walk this lunchtime before overtaking on George IV Bridge. (Natty plum-coloured trousers, grey beanie, blue bike with yellow bits. Be-badged saddle bag.) Didn't see his face at any point, but the bike looked mighty familiar.

I lost him at the Missoni joke cycle lane before I got a chance to pull alongside and say hello. He got across the lights well ahead of me and disappeared down the Mound.

I was on a black Brompton with a checked shirt and a silly yellow gilet.

@Greenroofer yes that was me, sorry I didn't realise you were in the folding gang. I could see you watching me in your rear-view mirror but assumed I was getting scowled upon for grabbing a tow up MMW :)

The buses and taxis blocking the road conspired against your progress.

I'm assuming I missed DaveC wingpigging me when I was carefully watching a potential pedestrian conflict further along my side of the NEPN after setting off after installing a poster.

Cheery waves exchanged with SRD this evening, as our paths crossed at the west end of NMW.

I read "I just flyered a van roof..." and wondered how come you hadn't noticed the size of a van before now...

In amongst the PoP masses today I spotted Roibeard, fimm, Morningsider, ARobComp and Kim. In fairness, I suspect most of CCE was there today.

Spotted a Yuba Mundo with ginormous panniers, two Pashley Moultons, a Pashley PDQ whose rider I don't know, a HPV Streetmachine whose rider I don't know, and a lovely red Klein Attitude Comp from about 1996.

Met one or two people who I knew off of that Internet, and one or two who suggested I get back onto this part of that Internet. So I did.
