Not all the time, just many days. It depends if I need the bike at all in the day or if I can get away with a longer stroll after work. I have to say though, riding in and around the gyle really does not make me want to go for a longer ride after work.

    Race spots all correct.
    I said hello to a CCE'er who I should know and can't remember <insert embarrassed smiley here...>
Spotted a Helios tandem with POP posters, & LaidBack Bikes rolling down Candlemaker Row as I was going up (having failed to get to Victoria St due to the crowds).

No, I was busy taking photographs but I did spot you out the corner of my eye. I didn't bring a bike yesterday (used the bus) as I knew what the crowds would be like and I didn't want to leave it unattended for so long. besides I had a lot of camera gear!

2 penny farthings on the A9!

After a gruelling 3 pistes cycle (sportive) today, I was half asleep on the bus back to Pitlochry from Aviemore, when I spotted a penny farthing heading North on the A9 near Kincraig. A few on that side of the bus checked with each other that we weren't halucinating.

A mile of so further on there was another one.

I assume they were doing LEJOG, which mist be quite an undertaking on what is a very high & fixed geared bike.

Wouldn't get me cycling on the A9 though.

I bet they got loads of space. If recumbents get the WTF? factor, a penny farthing must get it in spades...

That was probably Mrs Kim, aka Ulli, whom you met at the start of PoP ... she said she had seen you.

@Scoosh, no, my unidentified CCE'er was male.
I did also meet Mrs Kim, and introduced her to Boyfriend (they originate in the same part of the world) but she was busy handing out EdFoC programmes and didn't stop long.

5000th post goes to Dylan Moran, being grumpy on the phone, stood astride his device in Bruntsfield Links.

He doesn't ride a very Dylan Moranish bike. I'd have expected something sullen as opposed to a beaten up hybrid.

Don't you think "a beaten up hybrid" would be sullen?

On the way to pick up the micro-Greenroofer from nursery and mini-Greenroofer from the care of Uberuce, I spotted daisydaisy on a bicycle built for one in a queue of traffic on Myreside Road. Don't think she saw me.

On the way home along Morningside Drive at about 5pm after collecting mini-Greenroofer, we were passed by a rather stylish orange recumbent bike piloted by a gent with a beard. Was it you?

Orange Fuego recumbent you spotted would be Angelo I think - not on this forum but will pass on. He did the cycle from Halifax to Vancouver on it last year with his two sons - also on their own 'bents. Now warming up for his next long distance ride.

I thought I spotted Zenfrozt this morning on Redford Road, but the bike was an apple green Brompton. In any case I was in disguise again on the enduro motorbike.

20-30 charity cyclists en reoute to Dublin this morning, a bit lost and confused on South Gyle Crescent. I gave my best attempt at directions to the A71 via Edinburgh Park station, the trambles diversion and Cultins Road.

Hope their journey dries up a bit!

To complicate matters, I spotted Angelo on his Brompton at just after 6pm yesterday, going down Morningside Road as I went up it.

Anyone spot my stoker in the canal?

Luckily she was having kayaking lessons, rather than cycling ones...

Seems to be a Russian family in charge of canal canoes? They like to paddle whilst kneeling, I notice. The son is there morning and night
