    Arellcat recumbenteering on b'field links.

In very bad form, I probably blinded her with my helmet light because I could see it was a recumbent approaching and so looked at it to see who it was. Normally I try to look the other way when a cyclist approaches.

Either Leamington Walk was very poorly lit or my glasses were misting up, because I didn't realise it was you until you said hello as you passed and I recognised your voice.

Though to be honest I'd already been totally blinded by several cyclists with superdeathray lights set to 'seizure', so I was mainly in pedestrian-watching mode.

I trundled round to B&Q at Powderhall yesterday and was impressed with the sustrans volunteers clearing the litter off the Hawthornvale Path, and that one of them was playing "donkey", hauling the black bags and bigger items of waste to a pile at the path end by a bike trailer. Given the council can't do anything without driving a transit van down the path, chewing up the verges and getting mud everywhere, this is a fine example of how to maintain a path in a low impact, cheap manner.

Spent the rest of the ride mentally designing a cooncil path-maintenance cargo bike.

Well I offered the loan of an 8 Freight to one Local Team a while ago. Vague interest, nothing happened.

Epic spot of Mr Wingpig on Royal Mile 10 a.m. before the World's End junction. He had very large brush and very large shovel strapped to his bike. I conclude he was involved in some kind of sweeping scenario today or lending sweeping kit to an other or he had knicked a clennie man or woman's kit

The shovel was blade-up on the way home to prevent contamination of the pannier's delicate innards with leafgack.

Blimey Charlie!! Those Tadpole Bents look a little 'industrial'. Square steel? How much do they weight? Ah hang on, self build! I wonder if one could use Bambo?

Back on Topic, Spotted ME!! Back on my bike. Knee is refusing to scab over so I'm just sticking a fresh LARGE plaster over it every day.

Flickr doesn't appear to have a link to cut & Paste? Whats wrong with my link please?

Flickr has a 'Share' option (little box with an arrow coming out of it). That gives you the options of 'Share this via', 'Grab the link', and 'Grab the HTML/BBCode' - you want the last one. Hit the radio button for BBCode, pick the picture size (e.g. Medium) and paste the text in here. I usually chop out the last line of the code to have it just show the picture and the hyperlink.

One was a Commonwealth Gold medal winner possibly. Hopefully not causing too much chaos! I was at shop and they dropped by later.

Meant to mention spotted new bike on my commute on Monday morning. Normal dérailleur to the rear with only a granny on the front. Chap was fast on the flat but fairly easy to catch on the downhill. Not a set up I have seen before.

It was you @DaveC, but I was about 25 metres behind you and didn't have the energy to keep up, never mind catch you :)
