Yup. Go and have a look some time. I haven't been for ages ( don't get out much these days) but it's a good laugh I'll even lend you a bike and mallet if ye want a go.

heh, I may have a go-see before taking that up, I'm not known for my grace and balance on a bike :)

cb I think going up Bruntsfield path. I say think as I sort of realised after we passed. He was looking at his front mech*. I was heading down the way with a set of 20" mudguards from EBC bound for TBW (yes I could have got at TBC...!).
    * My front mech is often in front of me and at eye level!

Old guy on a purple bent coming up clerk street last night, saw him once before about 6 months ago. The bent is very interesting, looks at least 20 years old, straight frame with underseat steering and a sitting position almost as high as an upright. He was cruising very slowly and relaxed both times.

He is one of the 'ancients'. I bet you his 'bent has got lugwork. Might even be lined.
Then again, good on him for using the road as he sees fit.

"cb I think going up Bruntsfield path".

Not me I'm afraid, do I get to claim this as a half point?
I reckon I'm fairly unspottable on a 20 year old mountain bike. New fork arrived for the Birdy this week so hopefully be back on that soon. Might stand out a bit more...

Well was someone... they were a bit off to 'wrong side' of path and I was going (too) fast.

Little-old-lady-on-a-tricycle coming out of Tesco at Rodney Street Tunnel. No dayglo beanie today though.

Three muppets on fixies (one a Raleigh Banana) antici-jumping all the red lights and pedestrian crossings all the way up Dundas Street, the Mound and George IV bridge. I'm sure their trackstanding was very impressive to the ladies, but when there are other cyclists bunched up in the ASL box it's rather off-putting.

Made a point dropping into the granny ring going up the mound and sitting behind them sighing and making "borrrreeeeed" sounds.

There was a curious mixture going up East Preston Street last night. Wearing jeans, trackstanding at all junctions, waiting in place in the traffic, MTB with ultra-knobblies but worn bald along the centreline, going at 8.2mph and making a noise like someone rubbing a spoon over a cheesegrater.

Green well used Dawes Galaxy in the music library (in basement) on George IV Bridge. Had rainbow sticker - think it was a pre-Cambodian Dawes model.

I mean really... I go to the music library to get away from bikes....

Recumbent headed south along Causewayside at 21:45ish? Possibly bearded, possibly wearing goggles?

Old looking red(ish) recumbant (big back wheel, small front wheel) leaving Central Library just after 4pm today. Rider had a beard. Same as Ruggtomcat's spot from five days ago?

Dave, nipping into the greengrocer / asian food market on Argyle place.

The same shiny new Charge Plug (navy, bullhorn bars, brown faux leather tape and saddle) that cut me up at Tollcross Primary school the other day struggling to make it up the same street without making it look like a teeth-gritting effort.

Min overtook me last night on the Innocent heading towards the tunnel. I was walking - a couple of months off the bike has left me out of condition and the raw damp cold triggers my asthma, so I was wheezing badly and had to walk for a while.

Hannah from The Bicycle Works with courier bag cycling her Ribble framed bike along with (unconnected!) male on a fixie with Bianchi coloured rims and tape on Princes St heading East.

Fixie went up the 0.5m between taxi and bus to get to ASL. She stayed behind and drafted bus instead.

SRD and junior on smashing new Helios bike this morning about 9-ish and resplendent in headache-inducing pink vests, turning right onto Gilmore Place at Home Street. Didn't want to distract them from what looked like a tricky manoeuvre in busy traffic by shouting hello!
