HankChief on Pinkhill path. We waved, but not sure if you recognised me after our very brief meeting yesterday!

acsimpson's wicker basket with occupant in @edfoc brochure
Posted 9 years ago # -
That was one of his first outings in it. Hopefully the same basket with the same (rather larger) occupant will be there this year.

Unless there are two, I was behind the wicker basket at pop

@shuggiet inciting local youth to cycle in Inch Park.

It's a slippery slope @iwrats.. CCE hooks you, PoP addicts you, and before you know it you're in stimulating coaching sessions..

@gembo, the only other one I'm aware of is in grandad's garage. If you were near the penny farthing then it was me (assuming there wasn't a coincidental pairing of antique baskets and bikes).

Belated spot - Rosie, we bumped into one another at PoP when I was collecting my T-shirt; we discussed how you recently coaxed a mutual friend back onto her bike for the first time in five years!

daisydaisy (disguised by dark glasses) going West on Balcarres Street this evening as I headed East to collect the children from school.

@wingpig - sorry not to stop and have an unintelligible conversation - I was running a bit late

I was incapable of speaking without drooling and unfeelingly biting my cheeks and tongue.

I set off this morning expecting to be in similar shape, but was happily surprised to have my dental work resolved without any freezing this time. Hopefully the last of my jaunts to Bellevue for a while.
And thanks again for whoever suggested the better route between Broughton and the Mound. Definitely an improvement.

Chap on a yellow (IIRC) bike with a green Carradice with a high-vis circle on it, went along Slateford Road and turned right, into Hutchison Crossway I think, just after 7am. I think he's someone on here?

Aha gembo, that was you! You kind of nodded to me and I was left wondering if that was a) a CCE'er and b) yourself in particular.

kaputnik in Roseburn Park?
I did go that way, but I may have been grabbing a powernap at the time ;)Posted 9 years ago # -
Young rider leaving route at Haymarket yards and cycling up and along the tram platform. Then continued against oncoming through taxi rank and a short bit on road.
I meanwhile went round by road.Up at EICC I saw her again using the cycle against traffic flow technique. She then came over to my side of road (!). So her semi-pavement desire line at 5mph was as fast as mine on the road!
At junction I gently asked how long she had been cycling but not to berate. Wanted to warn her that while it's unlikely that anyone would drive into a bike facing them it was testing driver attitudes to an extreme degree (!) Offered maps and advice with I hope a positive interaction. Told her to get on our forum for help with routes. She cycled in Spain normally...
Hope she continues but takes in my 'old person's' advice.

gembo on the towpath this evening. He'd seen me first, I think, so he greeted me but all he got in return was a strangled squeak as I realised who it was as I passed.
