Was that gembo going up the Lanark Road on a very yellow bike as I was coming down this evening? Or was the cyclist in question just shouting at the car that didn't seem to give either of us a lot of room?

@fimm I was shouting FIMM at you for sure. Bike very black but panniers very yellow. Had both sides laden as was heading to pick up youngest who likes a backie and the panniers cushion her when she sits on the rack (well I also have a cushion for the Middle)

Don't know whether he's a member on here but apologies for tailgaiting the South Queensferry chap from Haymarket up to Dalmeny, starting around 18:30.
I've seen you around the Ferry and was happy to keep up on the straights and downhills, but you were always going to get away from me on the uphills!Anyway - if you're on here, don't worry - I wasn't stalking you :)

That's twice I've failed to spot you, gembo, because I've been distracted by bad driving....

Faisal Islam (I think) doing a news broadcast opposite Bute House this morning, along with the rest of the assembled news media.
Police had barriered off the north side of Charlotte Square outside Register House, however clearly nobody had thought to do the same for the cycle cut-through from the George Street direction, and I drifted merrily between the lot of them and the backdrop of Bute House with a puzzled look on my face before it clicked what was up - apparently the member of parliament for Witney is in town.

Wonder if he'll turn up at my workplace for a third time? His last visit provoked some anger as it prevented some people getting their morning bacon roll.

Oh the irony.
Meanwhile, far away in another part of town -

Recumbent/upright tandem on Riversdale Crescent this morning, pilot only.
Couldn't figure out what it was from a distance. Yes, yes I did stare at it as it went past.

Met a bloke on the platform at Waverley today with a 1926 Raleigh bicycle with (nearly-all) original parts. Such a high top tube!

@Stickman - that sounds like the non-Roibeard pino rider I spotted a few pages back. Think he has the right sort of bike for multiple spots, but sadly I don't think he frequents CCE - I did encourage him to take a look last time we met.
My spot, this afternoon was MrSRD sheparding mini & micro SRD. Surprisingly only one of them was on a bike...

If I'm not mistaken, Uberuce steaming up the A701 at Burdiehouse last night on a powder-blue fixie.

Gembo! Finally got the spot! This time I merely nearly got taken out by the car that was overtaking him as we waved at one another...

'Twas very cheery waving tho

Another parabike in the work bike store, except this one is in RAF blue. Nice, reminded me mine needs a wash.

oh, forgot this from the other night - lady just approaching NMW with a teeny tiny dog on one of those bobike/weeride style seats.

I saw a man riding a really nice pale blue tandem the other day. Very eye catching.

The awesome Urban Arrow parked on South Charlotte St, with PoP poster proudly attached.
Sadly not occupied by Weezettes in costume, but a treat to see nonetheless.

This morning riding up Morningside towards Church Hill, a man riding a Dahon fitted with Loopwheels! He reckoned his was the only one in Edinburgh. Perfect for cobbles, apparently.

This morning riding up Morningside towards Church Hill: Arellcat (and, judging by the number of heads that turned, confirming that recumbents aren't invisible)
I was disguised as a pedestrian in an unlikely hat on the other side of the road.

I spotted at least six lancia two seater rally style cars all parked in the lay by outside the chip shop in juniper green at tea time on Friday. Mildly remarkable.

Couple d'un certain age in identical cycling jerseys and cotton caps on a trad tandem at the Five Ways yesterday. Gent on the front to his stoker; 'Signal right please.' Stoker; 'Yes dear.' and duly signals right. Not sure to whom or why the signal was given. Suspect the entire thing may have been some sort of wormhole-through-time vision to the fifties. I modeled their journey onwards to Waverley in search of a cream tea, a guard's van for the bike and a smoking compartment.

Gembo "... at least six lancia two seater rally style cars... "
We were crossing at Cross Causeway lights and just broke their convoy into two at 5.30 today. I wondered what they were. Had a really nice tandem run out to Gifford. (May post later. Avoided Pentcaitland path to add some climbs in).
Min - the light blue retro tandem is owned by James T. He has a bike parts shop on Broughton St. Regular at shop next door.

@laidback - can't find any intraweb stuff on the lancias.
Was out for walk tonight as pleasant evening and at the end came up the WoL path right to the end/beginning. Normally come off at some steps before the end (where one of the bricks in the step wall is called Geoff). Anyhoo, looked at the sculpture which is a big dark brown post with a silver steel ribbon to signify the WoL. However just above the start of the ribbon Cigs has been out on the 44 and appended his mentchie.
