On Monday I spotted the Gugolcar on reconnaissance at the top of Gilmerton Dykes.

I was spotted standing outside my favourite pub by the Googlecar. Fingers crossed that's me finally immortalised near the place I can usually be found anyway.

cc on his Pastoorfiets at Argyle Place junction.

Dynamo light spotted first then the substantial and useful front carrier followed by cc.

@gembo and laidback from three pages back: the two Lancias you saw will have been part of a much larger Stratos convoy that we saw in St Andrews. Ten or so.

One of very few cars that I'll happily stare at as it passes.

@darkerside. I saw six in the chippy lay by. What is a stratos convoy?

At 18h30 I passed directly underneath @jdanielp and the fish in the canal by which he was steaming east, PoP flag aflutter on his packed panniers. Alas! I could not hail him.

Yesterday evening at Myreside/Colinton Road junction, a gent heading north with six small bedding plants on his rear rack. No panniers, no nothing else, just six small bedding plants. I'm not entirely sure how they were held on.

@IWRATS fame at last! Spotted by two forum members during one week! I assume that you must have been cycling under the Slateford aqueduct or maybe driving under the Scott Russell aqueduct? Well spotted either way!

    Scott Russell. Automobile. The shame.

@IWRATS ah well, that makes sense given that it was 18:30 though since I ended up catching up with and joining onto the back of Critical Mass for the first time as they were heading along the canal at Harrison Park at around 18:50.

@fimm sorry I didn't get back to you, but I don't remember spotting your purple jacket despite liking that colour...

Critical Mass went along the canal?

@wingpig yes, but I suspect only briefly. I caught up with them on the towpath, heading under the bridge at Harrison Park. We then turned left down the path through the east section of the park before joining onto Watson Crescent.

Crowriver cycling up Mcdonald Road in what appeared to be a bicycle-induced zen trance. Anyway, didn't see me waving as I headed the other way (my brain didn't compute to say "Hi" or ring the bell until we had passed)

Someone who peered at me as they passed on West Shore Road?

This morning from a distance I spotted the low riding AlanR, as I turned right from the Lanark Road onto Inglis Green.

    Good headlight, Alan!

Someone doing the 3 Pistes Sportive on an EliptiGo. Basically a step machine on wheels.

    Start Picture

    End Picture

We past him descending Glenshee and it looked hard work without a aerodynamic position.

Top effort to the guy who did finish in 11hrs 40.

Kids messing around on the NEPN from craigleith to silverknowes. Teens to be fair. They were doing something with branches. I rode past slowly and deliberately tried to get a look at what they were doing but tough to see.

Lots of joggers out as well. Hope they're not planning anything foolish.

Not enough evidence to call 101.

Was it Snowy who gave me the nod on towpath?

Lot of tail wind assisted too fast cycling there this evening. One guy dings his bell at a bridge after I had dinged mine. I re-dinged only to have him bomb on to the section under the bridge. He did decelerate by smashing himself into the wall which was nice.

Later stopped to chat to Big GED at the infamous small sunken section at the calders.

Some observations from MrSRD over the past week
    - outside Thomas Aquin at. Edinburgh Young Musicians collection time - a 'utility cyclist' with a well-used EBC trailer harangued a female SUV driver parked on zigzags. She finally moved when he started taking pics.

    - George square - cyclist lost keys from pocket. 2 guys by informatics tried to flag him down /get him to come back and he ignored them. Mr SRD tried to give chase, but was on tandem and he ignored him shouting at him too. Eventually saw him returning on foot scouring pavement/gulleys and sent him back in the right direction.

EliptiGo is an excellent way to make cycling seem easy!

Two took part in the LEL Audax in 2013.

    @gembo Yes indeed.

I was going to take the scenic route home via Ratho but I couldn't stomach the initial struggle into the wind, so just hit the towpath.

Had a nasty moment with an empty pannier getting a wind-assist into my spokes. Now has a small tear but repairable. Apologies to passers-by for my language as I attempted to retain control.

What appeared to be a titanium Pino, parked outside Harts Cyclery; Roibeard, that you?

Mine is currently residing at the Cycle Service for a seatpost shim and spoke replacement, so not mine.

There is meant to be at least one other in Edinburgh, perhaps two, so I suspect we're the world hotspot for these...

It might have been Min I had a brief chat to on Gogar Station Road this morning as we waited at the lights. We've only met once in Real Life (TM), so I have a hazy recollection of Min's appearance.

Anyway, we agreed how nice the new surface was and how much pleasanter it made the road.

This Min/Min-alike had been taking full advantage of the quality of the surface to ride west at considerable speed...
