No, not me. I am now intrigued about the Min-alike!

@Min - I suspected as much. The thing is, I've definitely seen Min-alike before (and not at work) so now I've got to work out where it was...

I've got form for this. Some months ago I spotted someone who I'm sure was kaputnik in a kayak on the canal, when it wasn't. I do definitely know what kaputnik looks like, so this was a case of dopelganger rather than mistaken identity.

"so this was a case of dopelganger rather than mistake"

    Yeah I've seen that one.

(There's only one Min - apart from the one in The Goons).

    Yackaboo!

There is a chap who looks a lot like Kaputnik who uses the Innocent. Maybe it is the same one? Wingpig has a double too.

As well as my Innocent-using cycling double there's been one spotted on foot around Newington. When I lived on Nicolson Street twenty years ago one flatmate had two local doppelgängers.

"What appeared to be a titanium Pino, parked outside Harts Cyclery"

"There is meant to be at least one other in Edinburgh, perhaps two, so I suspect we're the world hotspot for these..."

I spotted what HankChief confirmed to be a Pino at Murrayfield a few weeks back, so definitely in the right part of town.

I did think it would have been rather out the way for Roibeard, 3 Pino's in one city; we're talking national scandal.

  8. Passed a chap wearing a white shirt and work trousers cycling along the Broomhouse path heading Gylewards around 6.30am'ish a few times now. Impressed by his attire and ability not to sweat & spoil it.

    Anyone on here?

weezee and family in Morningside Park (where else?). I introduced myself along the lines of "You don't know me but I've seen a picture of your bike on the internet - it's okay, I'm not mental".

Anyway - nice to meet you.

Spotted someone I THINK was from the forum as I headed towards Carrington from Temple, right where it meets the N1. Said hello but only realised it was a possible forumite a second later when my brain caught up.

Lovely evening for a ride out to midlothian!

Purple Helmet Lady on the towpath this evening as Mini Greenroofer and I went on the first of our PfS training rides (we have a 12-week training schedule that starts with 30 minute rides twice a week).

It was a lovely evening, culminating in the climb up Craighouse Road. We were overtaken by two men on bikes as we made our way along Myreside Road, and they headed up Craighouse Road too, so at one point there were four bikes climbing the steep bit. I am extremely proud to say that the rear pair (one of whom was 10) were closing the gap on the leading pair as we climbed the hill...

Oh yes, and on my way home this evening I passed a chap heading north/west on Gogar Station Road with an oldish toddler in seat on the back of his bike. That would have been optimistic/foolhardy on the old GSR, but it seems quite reasonable now. I've no idea where they were going, though: there's nowhere I can think of around there that you'd want to take a small child.

@Greenroofer - RBS gym is used in evening by employees families.

@SRD could be, I suppose. I suppose the interesting thing is that if that is what they were planning to do, it's now possible whereas the old Gogar Station Road really discouraged taking your son tramspotting.

Wingpig at York Place. Did you see the crazy balloon taxi that was behind you at that point?

Nup, but I ended up behind it (assuming it was the same one) on Lothian Road after going along George Street. Where were you, that I did not spot you?
