I spotted said baloon taxi at haymarket shortly after you guys saw it at York place. No idea what was going on there. Needless to say I imagine his field of view was affected in an inverse proportion to the visibility of his cab...

Did you see the crazy balloon taxi that was behind you at that point?
It's the taxi trade children's outing today. They were gather at Murrayfield stadium car park.
I spotted a very casual and relaxed looking Arobcomp getting all gnarly* on his MTB at Roseburn.
* actually just a relaxed spin

Oh yes I'd forgotten I'd waved at you Kappers! Whoops sorry. Was distracted by the balloon taxi. You were looking very summery.
I was SUPER casual on my Gnarly MTB this morning yes. I was getting "stoked" for riding some "sick berms" on my way to a parliamentary reception later.

Spotted acsimpson on the way to work, and also Deckyard/Deckard/Dectard/IDunno! Alright Scott!

Aye good to meet you Dave C! Thanks for the 'new' commuting route, enjoyed it and think I'll head home that way too.
(ps..Deckard...a la Bladerunner, one of my fave films :D)

Well if you want a chat on the ride home give me a shout on (ADMIN EDIT No.now removed) and give me 20 mins to get changed. Our bike store is in the office, so I only have to get changed and then head out.
p.s. I love BR too!

That sounds totally rad, dude.
I spotted two balloon taxis today, one coming up Colinton Road past Napier at Craiglockhart and one heading down Craiglockart towards Slateford. I did wonder.

DaveC, long time no spot. I was riding quite a bit earlier than I have been today. I should have paid attention to your wingman and then I'd be able to spot deckard too.

I told him who you were so he can spot you in future.

Polis on both sides of Glasgow road. They may have been talking to OLA drivers who confuse themselves for a Bus, but I didn't see a takedown so can't be sure.

Bakfiets-type bike outside the zoo and looking glorious in the sun this lunchtime. The nice sheepskin rug in the child seat may be a touch warm for this weather though.

DaveC and entourage on Cramond prom yesterday evening.

Synchronicity spotting today at Lady Road junction. From the bus - saw a man riding towards Minto Street on a yellow recumbent. Mused on how I had ridden a few recumbent tandems and on how it was a really nice way to tandem. Thought of Roibeard and his Hase Pino. Saw Roibeard and his Hase Pino!

Yes, it's back on the road, courtesy of LaidBack!
You know you're welcome to borrow it if you want a spin...
Currently it has a rigid front fork, but finances permitting it will be resuspended later in the year.

Spotted what I assumed was the non-Roibeard Pino on the NEPN about 8pm yesterday - the front seat had a box on it and I was too busy looking at the bike to notice the rider!

Thank you, that is very kind. It will probably be safe since I know how difficult it is to shorten these things enough for me!

Dave, Min, Uberbruce, chdot, Kim, Dave Miller (off of BBCScotland), Mark, and other who I didn't get the names of.

acsimpson at the beginning of the new A90 path. I spotted the red t-shirt from afar and contemplated a salute rather than a traditional hello to help pinpoint the spotter but chickened out in the end :-)

"And other who I didn't get name of"
One of then would be me, in my now no longer secret identify as the pink pashley rider.
Posted 9 years ago # -
Ah Pink Pashley Rider, lovely bike. I was chatting about another Pashley rider I know of who is riding Audaxes on his Black Pashley!
Perhasp we should have a large meetup soon this summer so we can put more faces to names.

@Beano,
I thought I spotted you this morning but I'm confused by your location description. Was it just after you had climbed the hill over the rumble strips, or have I forgotten what you look like?
Posted 9 years ago # -
@acsimpson - yes I think my location description was a bit naff. You know the bus stop (at the top of the slip road off the A90) just where the cycle path becomes 'new cycle path' (I think that was last years upgrade)...well It was about 100-200m after that I spotted you (grey pinnacle bike, always a single high-viz ortlieb pannier on my RHS).
Posted 9 years ago # -
Yeah, It was you then. As usual my facial recognition only kicked in after I passed you. If you start your salute 100m before you pass me next week I'll have time to react.

@acsimpson- passed 3 red t-shirts this morning- one on the Fife run up to the bridge~ 8.25, one helmetless by the S Queensferry Bus stop and one on the descent to the Cramond Brig.
I was sporting a disgusting luminous Orange T shirt and a child seat...

Also see a gent on a regular basis, don't know if he is on here. Bespectacled, tall and very upright on his bike (must have to duck with a lot of vegetation). Almost always with a smile (I think it is a smile...) on his face.
Used to see him cut between the RBS buildings at South Gyle and down past the station.Saw him today between cramond and cammo- looked like he'd stopped to take off a layer. Wearing a yellow hi vis vest.
Anyone on here?
Posted 9 years ago # -
Yes, I was the hatless one. I got to the bridge about 8.30 so the timing seems right. I'm sorry to say I have no recollection of passing a rider at the bus stop this morning (I assume you mean the one by bridge control).
I've passed a rider the last couple of evening who still appears to be wearing full winter gear, including a scarf wrapped around his chip. I don't know how far he goes but must arrive home like boil in the bag rice.
