I spotted you too, fimm, but at that moment I think you were busy with your Brompton. I liked your hat though!

Arellcat, I suspect I was either messing with my cycle clips or, err, starting Strava...
It is a good hat, isn't it? It was a present from my parents, who brought it back from Prague.

A transit van belonging to 'Forest Environmental' plastered with pictures of trees and environmental words...

...and a prominent 'Cyclists stay back' sticker on the back.

    No contradiction there then!

An 'invisible' ACSimpson on Maybury Road failing to get the driver in the outside lane to notice him signalling to change lanes.

I think I saw AC Simpson as well, heading west onto A8 - with glasses today?

Was heading up Maybury Rd on opposite side to Hankchief who was negotiating his bike-train through a chicane very carefully.

Got half-way down Cammo walk when my frame failed. New bike required. Long walk back to South Gyle station, nettle stings on the way...

@paddyirish - rotten luck. Hope you can get it sorted with the manufacturer/shop.

Acsimpson's unique basket does make him a relatively easy spot :-)

I actually made a real hash of the chicane tonight - with a bit of care I can usually wiggle through with a minimum of brushing of the gates, but tonight I had the handlebars of the tagalong caught on one gate and a pannier caught on the other. Had to back up and try again. I hate tight chicanes for a reason - and this one I at least have a chance.

My new spot is Shuggiet & Kim at the Kaimes Road Hill climb. Shuggiet & I took the brave decision to merely spectate. Kim had not 1 but 2 goes up the hill in his UrbanArrow, including a passenger.

Shuggiet is a bit smaller than I imagined..

I saw a non-Kim Urban Arrow this morning.

I now realise that Kim was at Carlton Reid's talk. I confess to having a lengthy ogle at the Urban Arrow that was parked outside the Bike Co-op that night. It really is an impressive beast.

Spotted - a spotted leopard with a unicycle crossing the Easter Road/London Road junction. Really (!)

If it had spots rather than rosettes it couldn't have been a leopard, nor a jaguar. Cheetah?

And, far more importantly, was there some kind of big cat handler still attached to the unicycle, or was moggy perhaps clutching the bike in their jaws with a smug grin?

Ok, I should have said 'Person-in-a-Big-Cat-fancy-dress-costume' carrying a Unicycle :)

I spotted an Urban Arrow in Glasgow yesterday, so they're spreading...

    CARRYING the unicycle? Definitely cheating.
We saw a giraffe playing the bongoes on Porty prom a couple of years ago.

Bongos - now *thats* impressive. Especially considering their hooves instead of handies.

@hankchief, that was some especially poor driving. Particularly considering she was still in my lane when I did my first shoulder check and that she was joining a queue of traffic 50m further down the hill. I let her know my displeasure once she stopped. Still it reminded me why I stick to the pavement after collecting my passenger.

@Paddyirish, yup that would be me, I'm impressed you noticed my non regulation glasses. I'm afraid I failed the reverse spot as I was busy having my blood boiled by the Woman in the VW above. I hope you get yourself back on the road soon.

@earthowned, Here's one just for you:

A young lady, who appeared to be engaged in some kind of charity work around Meadow junction, shouted "Pedal on Parliament yay!" upon spotting my increasingly sellotaped together flag as I turned left from NMW onto MMW earlier. I managed to rely with a left-thumb up in recognition :)

A surprisingly young lady in apple green at Morningside Station this morning, heading to Inverness. A very small crowd had gathered in anticipation of her arrival.

(slightly off-topic I know, but also I know that I'm not the only person here who likes admiring this particular young lady)

A huge clump of women and Kim riding up MMW. Assume it was a cycling festival event! They looked like they were having fun.

On the way home this evening at Meggetland I passed an older couple who seemed to be recent returners to cycling and I suspect were finding the towpath at rush hour a bit intimidating. She had her helmet on backwards, which I pointed out (tactfully, I hope) and she said that someone else had told her that too(!)

A little while later, going up Myreside Road, a chap came the other way towing a primary-coloured child trailer.

About an hour ago, out by Wester Hailes, Mini-Greenroofer and I came across a large gaggle of children of primary school age and below on a range of bikes accompanied by two women on bikes, one of whom was towing a very nice green trailer. It was a very heartwarming sight, because it was a real mix of children on a real mix of bikes.

Impressed that the signage for Meadow Place Road has a sign about cyclists not having to do the detour (but do have to dismount and use pavement)

Hadn't seen anything like this until @greenroofer argued for it for GSR. I did wonder if they were the same barriers...

I have an earlier picture where they are on the road (looks identical!)

Think the bag makes the balance possible!

High degree of confidence (both parties).

wing pig being rained on in the links.

had just been chuckling to myself about that 'thermoplasia' joke, having encountered a path suffering from a severe bout.

I was quite pleased with that one. After SRD, the Bakfiets with "bakfiets.nl" on the side propelled by the bearded man followed me along Bruntsfield Place and Lothian Road, clattering at every bump.
